In conjunction with an increase in spending .... such a fiscal policy absolutely can cause inflation.

I'm not talking about COVID .... I'm talking about Trump's irresponsible budget proposals and the packages he signed into law during his first two years in Congress, when Republicans had control of both chambers.

trump had unemployment at historic lows and maintained low inflation therefore reduced a worse impact covid could have had on the economy.

For the last few years, the government has put off cutting taxes because of their inflationary impact. Now, with the government willing to cut taxes, the Reserve Bank is unhappy because of their inflationary impact. This begs the question, how inflationary are tax cuts?

It was covid that added trillions to the budget that you are disregarding. Subtract covid speding on cares debt under trump would not have increased nowhere near what it did.

govenors and mayors UNCONSTITUTIONALLY told people to not work leaving millions at home with no way to pay their bills. That forced a responsed from federal gov't to give a stimulus to people to pay their bills. Had life gone on as usual during covid and people allowed to go to work then the whole mess of cares act, biden's wasteful spending, inflation would probably never happened

But his actions made the inflation inevitable. Sure it was made worse by covid and the trillions he spent but the pre-covid economy was built on huge deficits and spending. It simply wasn't sustainable and would have been really ugly if he was re-elected given his crazy spending promises

Are you claiming Biden is doing well given his unemployment numbers? UE numbers are always a manipulation and essentially useless

there was no inflation under trump's tax cuts, again trump handed of an inflation rate under 2 percent to biden. It was making people stay at home and not works that cut production and the governments increased speanding under biden that sparked inflation.

what does new zealand have to do with biden's out of control spending?
