2024 Presidential Race

Cant tell if that is sarcasm, but for those reasons plus it being backwards technology, makes it ridiculously illogical. But a lot of people got really rich on it, thanks to govt subsidies.

No, it's a legitimate post. What's wrong with them exactly?

Gas powered cars are much cheaper to both buy and maintain, infrastructure already supports it (as you say), batteries are extremely hard to source and extremely expensive, and the environmental "savings" are questionable at best. Is the juice worth the squeeze and right now, as EV technology currently stands, I dont think there is any way it is.

Did I not point out this very things in my original post?

That is why I couldnt tell if it was sarcasm. You said EVs were good but then listed a laundry list of reasons why they werent.

I sat in on a presentation given by the feds about 6 months ago and it was on the upcoming infrastructure needed to facilitate moving most Americans to EV. It was laughable. Both the cost and resources needed.

That's why I put the "if" in there.

I have no problems with EVs myself. But the infrastructure just isn't there yet to support national level deployments. I'll give Tesla credit for trying to expand it greatly but it still has a long way to go. If/when they start doing deals and partnerships with large national chains (Loves, Pilot, Petro, 7-11, etc) and getting more charging stations installed, it'll be better.

I've said for a while an EV is typically a "get around town" car or something you drive for 300 miles or less. Taking 20-30 minutes (or more) to recharge on a long distance trip is a deal killer for a lot of people. In our "instant gratification" society, we want to fill the tank, hit the head and grab the Bucee's nugs and jerky before being on our way. Like 15 minutes tops if we can. EVs just aren't that useful for long distance trips since the infrastructure just isn't there to support rapid turnaround.

Compilation of all the crap the gangster has tried to peddle over the years. All failed miserably--but the gangster might still be sleeping
on one of his branded mattresses. I don't understand why he didn't try a spray-tan product....

Just a reminder you goobers voted (and will vote) for a pure snake oil salesman. But keep on buying what he's selling.

The headline doesn't want to say it, but Trump is dead last.
Must mean that the current President is pretty damn bad if he has a legitimate chance of losing re-election to the guy rated the worst of all-time.

I don't know if Merrick Garland and the Deep State are taking this country down, but I sure as hell know that gravity is taking something down.

Those people have Joe Biden ahead of Ronald Reagan. Tells me all I need to know about the sophistication and seriousness involved here.

And Lincoln was a tyrant. Not surprised that group likes him.
