I swear it’s politicians erasing evidence. They both happened in DC neighborhoods
Unfortunately they're not that rare. 4 explosions every 5 days.

DC metro should have 4-5/year. Guess you could track that to see if there's an anomaly. Though probably needs to be adjusted for percentage of homes with natural gas. DC is 14 percentage points above national average at 74% of homes.

So...5-7/year on average?

Reason I'll never get a place with gas.

I get it's rare, but freaks me out. Lived in a place with gas for just 4 years and I'm very OCD about not leaving stovetops on and check every knob after using.

Well...we managed to leave a burner just sliiiightly on one day - no flame, just the slightest gas leaking out for hours as we were away. Ended up setting off the gas alarm...if we had come home before that and turned it on, probably would've blown up.

That's crazy.

I use gas for heat because it was already installed, but that's it.

LOL. Pretty sure they would use the fireplace for that instead of blowing up the entire house.
I would think anything more undercover would be used. A slow-acting, undetectable poisoning agent.

Making national headlines and having agencies swarming wouldn't make the best "perfect crime" outcome. And the person has to be home at the time for the intended effect. Furthermore, upscale neighborhoods are flooded with door cameras. Even snooping around there could be traceable, given necessary cooperation.

Total bs they blamed that on lefty.

I watched the history of the ACC tournament documentary and he was featured quite a lot in that. Awesome documentary and he was hilarious.

Really great coach.

Dominated at Davidson, Maryland, James Madison and Georgia St.
Lefty Driesell's 1974 team at Maryland didn't play in NCAA tournament, probably his best team ever.

After that NCAA went to at large bids and expanded the Tournament field.

Evidently it wasn't natural gas but a burried propane bottle in the back yard. We have propane because I want the warmth of gas. We also use a gas water heater. Naturally gas isn't available where I live. We have a 1000 gal above ground tank that we lease. You can only fill it to 80% when it's above ground. You can fill it to 100% when burried but I'd have to purchase it. It's a decent distance from the house but not far enough, about 100' if I had to guess.

Evidently, there was a call in of a strong odor of gas. The fire department was dispatched and several firemen were in the house when it exploded. One fireman was killed.

Seems like Coach Barnes has a pretty good comparison with Driesell. Successful at multiple programs. Put a lot of players in the NBA, and both haven't to date won a NCAA championship and both are going to finish with almost or over 800 wins. And, both actually have a personality on and off the court.

Becoming more common as lines installed via boring are creating crossbores where gas lines are running through sewer pipes. Now you end up with a gas line across the interior of a sewer pipe causing an obstacle that catches debris and causes a clog. Plumbers send down a cutter to chop up debris without first sending a camera down like they should and puncture the gas line. Gas leaks out into sewer system and makes its way into the nearest home until...boom.

If the water in your toilet is bubbling...get out and call 911.

Now that the mostly impaired are down for the count… I ask any and all of you to pray for my son. I’m a very private person, but this is weighing. He has been fainting a lot (a lot, means he’s hid it from me). They found a heart murmur but he’s had intense headaches for months and they’re going to check his heart and his brain. I can’t even, even. So, if I’ve seem off, that’s why. I don’t need any replies, just prayers please. I just need time to process. Thank you all.
You know that despite all the crap we give you, we love you. You and your son have all my prayers
