Stupid rule that needs changing..............Spotters, electronic scoring, etc............give me a break.

Idiotic rule. Could you imagine if they required players in other sports to update their own score throughout the game, then disqualify them for a mistake. A mistake proven because the score is kept electronically already.

I’ve thought for years now that at these big tournaments, the scorers should present the golfer with their official scorecard, not the other way around. If the golfer disputes an official scorecard based on their own, then they can do a review before it’s finalized.

This is a non-problem that they’ve made into a problem because golf sometimes likes to pretend that it’s still 1924, not 2024.

Plenty of anomalies exist. To the point that they're not really anomalies. Fact is, you don't know how to evaluate talent, so you rely on an inexact ranking system. Which is fine. But it would be a problem if our coaches relied on the same. And that's ultimately the point.

Cedric Tillman - a low ranked three star turned SEC star -was an anomaly.

My comments aren’t directed towards this player at all. Just a general mocking of how Cedric Tillman gets name dropped in every low/no ranked kids thread.

You’re right though, Cedric Tillman is a very very very rare case, and it is brought up more times than it should be for lowly ranked players
