I'm sure this sort of thing isn't uncommon. It's rare to listen to a college game where the announcers and crew aren't obviously biased for one team, and they probably don't hesitate to use their influence outside the booth when the opportunity arises. I've never considered Herbstreit and his network to be purely objective observers of college football; they prefer to shape opinions and outcomes when they can. Not surprising he's willing to act on his biases since that's what people often do.If Kirk Herbstreit is involving himself in the recruiting process as this article alleges, then he should be dismissed from his employment and possibly the target of legal action.

They love Alabama. They like Georgia. They hate Tennessee.I don't think they like the SEC in general. They didn't seem to mind Alabama's run of dominance because it encouraged a view of the SEC as a top-heavy league like the others in P5. The SEC's six different national champions in the BCS/playoff era sticks in their craw.
