It has to do with how cats fur color is tied to genetics. Black and grey are dominant. However orange is dominant as well with a different allele. Since males only have one X chromosome they have a higher chance of showing the orange due color even though black and grey are "more" dominant. Same with calico and tortoise shell fur colors. They're female cats with all 3 types of alleles so they show all 3 at the same time because they'll have all 3 on both X chromosomes

First one looks like a Flame Lynx Ragdoll! Our Smoki is a Blue Lynx Bicolor Ragdoll. So pretty. Sheds...so bad. Our first "luxury" breed. Very different than the rescues we've had in the past.

Our girl has zero concept of danger, she won't ever be allowed outside. Makes me sad, but it's best for her.
