So Hank had more consistency, making him the better hitter.

And? Aaron was a machine (to his credit) and played better than Mays on the backend of their careers.

Mays also missed multiple seasons at the beginning of his career due to exclusion and Korea.

Willie Mays was a 40-40 player, hitting .325, and playing double-plus CF. It doesn’t get any better than that for a position player.

A stat generated sport. Hank was my favorite. and stats do not lie and Mays was a very good player also.
