Recruiting Football Talk VII

It really was a fairly and well called game...I am shocked.
Doug Shows is not as bad as other SEC refs. He kept the other 2 refs (Vladimir and Burdette) in check last night. Someone mentioned that Vladimir reffed our Purdue game earlier this season and we all remember how that game went. My biggest gripe about Shows is how much he goes to the monitor but he ain't the snake that Pat Adams is. I was actually happy we had him last night. He seems to detest Calapari and Rupp and we get a pretty fair whistle from him.... especially on the road.

Finally caught up after the busy week of AA posts and then the game posts yesterday. Nothing like a solid SEC road win, irregardless of the sport. Got me feeling like...

Irregardless is not a...

Oh, nevermind. I'll just go have an Expresso and ignore it.

I haven’t been able to get on much this week except to check player threads. What is going on with the NCAA?
They suck. We dont.

They're gaslighting us because of their own incompetence. Donde called em on it. TN and VA AG's filed Federal suit.

Awaiting result of a Temp Restraining Order.

Here we see the NCAA blatantly repeat Saban's idiotic and deliberately backwards "NIL will destroy parity" argument that Saban has been repeating for a couple of years. Pretty much since the day he got beat out for Nico. Oh, and the corrupt NCAA is repeating Saban's propaganda in an attempt to... go after Nico.

Saban has conducted this years' long propaganda campaign -- shamefully without being called out by the media -- while having the highest percentage of blue-chip players on roster in history. The NCAA is sewer of corruption.

Defense to accusations of ant-trust collusions are basically:

"Our sport has a long history of breaking anti-trust law, and is defined by the need to break anti-trust law. TN and VA have not shown an injured party, so throw it out. Also, if you prevent us from colluding to prevent NIL market, you've effectively prevented us from colluding to prevent salary market as well. So, please just let us continue to break anti-trust laws. Thank you."

New lawsuit; same old defense. I suspect they'll get their a-to-zees handed to them, but will probably take years to conclude. Suspect the TRO will be approved, Unis will use NIL as recruiting inducements, and things will make it to the SCOTUS, where the NCAA will be eviscerated.

If the NCAA still exists by then.

You mean the parity of having two teams compete for the same hardware every single stinking year?

Any eligibility left after this season? I'm not kidding.
He's a sophomore.............

Posted numerous times that I suspected Bama's involvement in this one. Pretty clear they were the other finalist for Nico and losing him didn't sit well with Saban. I'd bet the farm that had we not filed suit, one "solution" would have been for Nico to be ineligible at UT BUT completely eligible to play at another program like Alabama perhaps? This is such horse hockey. So blatant.

And here (sandwiched between the two sentences I just quoted) the NCAA admits in its own name that Tennessee is standing up for the rights of student athletes. While the NCAA is seeking to institute a policy to keep the illegal bag game and Charger racketeering going while oppressing student athletes at the rivals of their favorite, in direct defiance of the Supreme Court decision.

Btw, by "these rules" the NCAA means the rules that it instituted post hoc and is now attempting to use concerning a prior event. So obviously wrong -- but also, importantly -- blatant evidence of lack of institutional control and blatant favoritism and corruption at the NCAA.

Our final 4 game stretch is brutal.

Absolutely have to take advantage of the next 3 weeks and move up the SEC standings. Need to take these next 6 seriously and sweep the leg.

During the same stretch, Alabama, currently on top of the SEC, will have to go to Auburn, UK, and Ole Miss.

Time to create some seperation.

At TAMU is the most challenging, for sure. If we do go 6-0, I think we have a legit shot to win the SEC.
