How is it a bad thing for posters to call out any player or coach, in this case JJJ, for playing poorly for many games? It is just a fact determined by observation. He was losing minutes to Mashak because CRB observed it as well Should fans on a Vol fan message board pretend so they can satisfy those who do not want their little darlings noted? So fragile.

The good thing is JJJ knew that he was messing up and fixed it. So every Vol fan has a right to celebrate it with him. Personally, I believe him losing against his home state school at TBA was a serious wake up call and he responded like a true VFL.
Absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. It was clear that JJJ was not playing at his peak. The issue I have is the way some people do it. Calling him names, saying he sucks, etc. If you want to say he is not playing well and that maybe CRB needs to think about giving him less minutes until he gets it together, that is no problem for me. It is a problem when you say he is trash, or photoshop his picture on a milk carton.

Calipari has lost to Tennessee 13 times in his career at Kentucky in 31 contests. 11/21 against Barnes. 4/14 times in Rupp (all against Barnes).

No Kentucky coach has lost more games to Tennessee in Rupp Arena (opened 1976)

Here's how it compares to other Kentucky coaches (min 5 seasons):
Tubby Smith - 6/23 and 2/11
Rick Pitino - 3/17 and 0/9
Joe B Hall - 16/27 and 2/9 in Rupp, 3/13 in Lexington.

Adolph Rupp - 22/92 and 5/41 (in Lexington)

So to recap, here are the winning percentages against Tennessee:

Rupp - .761
Hall - .407
Pitino - .824
Smith - .739
Calipari - .581

Calipari against Barnes - .476

Edit: I realize this might look confusing so I want to reiterate that the first section is Losses to TN / Games Against TN
Double Edit: Some may wonder what Bruce's record was. Bruce was 4/13 against KY and won 1 game in Lexington. Not great but decent considering the overall complexion of the rivalry. Mostly against Tubby Smith and Billy Gillespie. Bruce only faced Cal 2 seasons I think.

Gahhhh milton is honestly terrible, should be a considered a miracle that we won 8 games this year with him, and makes me question why we didn’t play Nico more

My issue is 99.9% of individuals bitching about Josiah couldn't score a bucket against him one on one..

Those stats alone should wipe any pearlist argument away.

What’s pearl’s record against uk while at Tennessee? While at auburn?

No Tennessee coach has ever handled uk basketball like CRB has. Those are phenomenal coaching stats.

On a broader level, has any coach ever had a better record against uk than CRB? I doubt it.

Watching the game last night, the Vols made a statement that they don’t even need a strong performance from DK to beat uk. 🤠
Missed this post but answered it for ya!

Happy Sunday

February 4, 2024: Listen for the sound of silence and be comfortable with it. When nothing is stirring you to deep thought or action, you must stir yourself so that you do not lose your edge. Take the initiative through a desire to know Me more personally and intimately, says the Lord. Explore the depths of spiritual truth and delight yourself in the light of revelation. Be still and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
That first line.... Reminds me of how I felt about rupp last night.😁

Don't believe fire, rumors was moving up into a higher position in Athletic Department..

But of course it is hear say like most things..

I was just curious after the post and damn, that’s a lot of money for a bball coach to go away.

Elevation inside the athletic dept would make more financial sense for sure

I think some hold a grudge against Tennessee (Pat Adams)-- I also think some are bias, whether paid off to be that way, etc.
If you believe LA Vol, it sounds like UT has been portrayed to NCAA as a rogue program by our rivals, so NCAA has a bit of an added interest in seeing us penalized. So, does that mean, first investigates, harshest penalties they can levy, and then 'added' hardships to make up when we didn't suffer to the level of their liking?
