I have no problem with logical, rational, circumspect criticism of anything. If they think their ONLY job is to criticize, that's a different story. You believe local media’s job to be to criticize the coaching staff? Guess that’s where we differ. I believe their job is to discuss the program, build relationships, help players tell their stories, bring in experts on topics instead of themselves being critical of personnel decisions, scheme decisions, etc.
You can have discussion without telling everyone what “should be happening” based on nothing more than opinion.
Now if we’re going 5-7 every year, prob gonna remove the guardrails a little more nahmean.
So we just have different views on their jobs.

If I spent $500 and all my friends also told me I should spend it, would I not be inclined to say it was well spent? Inversely, if I spent $50, would I be inclined to say much of anything? No doubt Apple makes strong products. Their support is adored by some, too. As a former Apple user and a converted off-label guy, I can tell you there are some amazing products that leave me able to purchase more of the things I want with less regret. Sadly all headphones are consumables, so people fail to count that into their equation too. That's a pretty huge drop in the ratings world. Probably not worth 450 to me personally, but to a lot of people, that big of a gap in ratings justifies the gap in price.
Give me some 6x9 Sparkomatics in the back of the Camaro, crank em, and its partee time. One of these is 50 the other 500....lol
I always say people should spend money how and on what they like, but the markup on audio equipment for some brands is ridiculous.

Okay, right there is where we disagree, and it went in several different directions. I don’t think he has anywhere near the talent of a GA, AL or OSU and not sure that is going to be sustainable for even them going into the future. If the expanded playoff doesn’t save college football from only 3-5 teams having all the talent, then it’s doomed. All we can do is keep getting better talent, keep developing and hope we manage to become a ref favorite or at least not the scapegoat. I don’t think the odds are good for Nico to win us a championship because of depth, but hope he excites like Peyton for others to want to come to Tennessee so we can compete. And hoping NIL will weaken those teams at the top and hold Texas off. The 4 team playoff created this. Will have to see if expansion helps.Ok, that is a fair pojnt or question. My absolute statement operates from the perspective that I think he has enough talent. It is fair to say it might be 2026 before that is absolutely true or fair. If he is of a Saban or Kirby caliber he will either have to recruit to their levels or outscheme them. I think we will know this year. I have seen glimpses of the first already. But NOT against Kirby. It is true that may be too high a bar for some to agree.
So we shouldn't have given up on Butch, Dooley or Pruitt?Okay, right there is where we disagree, and it went in several different directions. And I would like to remind everyone how there was always talk of firing Harbaugh because he would never get past OSU and all their talent let alone win a NC with that talent. Granted it took cheating, but there’s no need to give up on a coach in year 2 or 3. Not even 4 or 5!
Also a sign of being old.... getting Red Dead 2 for Christmas and keep confusing the L2 (talk button) with the R2 (shoot button). The price of getting old.... walking into a room and immediately forgetting why you walked into the room in the first place.
Keep Heupel for 3 decades if he can do what he did the last two years. Sincerely. I think people assume when I say he should etc that I mean he must or we need to get rid of him. I am more than happy to support a Barnes-type coach. I just think Huepel is capable of more. Not saying he has to.Okay, right there is where we disagree, and it went in several different directions. Appears he hasn’t developed all the talent he has stockpiled so he had to gather some more.Ryan day going all in on a natty next year or following. If they don’t get one, and lose to Michigan at all, he probably gone.

I play the bass for church and we use in ear monitors. You will be shocked at the audio quality of a $50 pair of CCA IEMs. I eventually moved to a pair of Sony studio headphones ($85) for better bass response, but I still use those IEMs for other stuff. Great wired audio. If anyone uses earbuds and has not tried aftermarket foam tips you have no idea what you are missing. It elevates all headphones. Provides mechanical noise cancelling. They are not practical for all scenarios, but they are amazing. The con is they have to be replaced as they wear.
