Sounds like he's crying because Bama is no longer one of a handful of programs able to illegally pay recruits. Liked it better when they were allowed to cheat with impunity.#TrustFundFans giving up college football. This sentiment is all over their boards.

Majors to Fulmer was different...it FELT at the time that Majors had stalled a little and it just really felt like Fulmer was the man to get over that last hump...Phil doing so well while Johnny was down, and the team falling badly when he came back made a massive difference in perception at that time.Which teams do you remember being championship caliber, losing their coach, then plugging in a new coach without much drop-off?
I'm having a hard time remembering any that were very good with the new coach. Maybe Oregon for a year or 2. UT, Majors to Fulmer, but that is different.
Odds are that Deboer is gonna crash in spectacular fashion within 3-4 seasons. . . it's looking like it could be sooner than that.
This is another Saban situation, didn't like NIL or portal so he took his football and went home..
Look for Geno to do the same thing in a year or two..
#88,126My goodness I flipped on Finebaum for a minute and these bama fans are pathetic! They honestly think it’s their God given right to be at the pinnacle of CFB!
It’s been a week since little nickie retired and the coverage of him and bama is like the dude died!
Worried? They'd be pleading for Saban to come back. It's mostly entitlement on their part. However, I think part of the reason they think it this time is because Bear's final season wasn't anything special. Finished the season unranked and .500 in SEC play. Saban, in contrast, kind of pulled a rabbit out of a hat and was a couple of plays away from playing for a national title again this past season.
If Alabama went 7-5 or 8-4 this season, I think many more of their fans would be worried about DeBoer.
If the the prick really gave aSaban ruined Bama's dynasty and he didn't even know it
DeBoer was the first one to say yes. They'll never admit it, but they heard several noes before they got to DeBoer.I'm a little surprised that DeBoer passed the "test" of being deemed worthy enough for their fanbase. In fact, I very seriously doubt he passes that test if he didn't make the playoff this year.
An interesting question for their AD would be "before this most recent season, was DeBoer on your radar as a potential replacement for Saban in the event he retired?" You likely wouldn't get a straight answer to the question, but I find it hard to believe that he was. I'm sure he shot up their coaching hot board very quickly, as opposed to a number of other guys who had been on there for a while.
I don't think DeBoer is a bad coach - in fact, to the contrary, I think he's a good coach. I honestly don't know if he's the best, or even a good, guy for this job though. It seemed like Lanning or Sark would be a much better fit, but I guess neither of them were interested. Good for them.
Yeah...when I was in my 20s I loved going to the ATL on weekends to party or do other fun things, but I never wanted to live there.Yes, I knew you were familiar with both areas. My brother and I couldn't wait to get out of the tri-cities growing up. We thought it was too small. Now? I am much more favorable to the area (guess it's a young person thing). Now, I do tend to prefer an area with a lot going on but hey, I may end up in Wenatchee Washington so what do I know.
If the players don't compromise at some point and agree to some kind of fairly organized rules...the game will die...chaos is a ladder for the self centered and narcissistic in the short run, but it is a ever consuming, ever destroying black hole that results in the death of light for everyone in the long term. This all came about because the NCAA lost a lawsuit. Players wanted to get paid because they were generating tons of money for the universities and the NCAA. Someone will try to put lipstick on this pig but the end result is that it'll still be a pig.
Quoting the 8ball...Is your name 8-ball or MJG?
