My grandpa always called this the best World Series ever, so did my dad, although he talked more about the 1995 race between the angels and mariners as his most memorable season.

Side note, reminded me of one of the funniest things my dad ever said to me as a kid

Me: “wait you’re an angels fan? But Griffey is your favorite player”

Between 1983 and until Saban was hired in 2007, Bama fans were comparing every hire to The Bear. Now, it will be Saban.

You do not want to be the guy who follows a legend such as:

Fred Akers-Texas

Ray Perkins-Alabama

Earle Bruce-Ohio State

Frank Solich-Nebraska

Gary Gibbs-OU

Those fanbases buried them alive.
