A 4 team playoff has never been ideal and I’m glad they are expanding it, but that’s the game they’re playing right now.As good? No. Good enough to be competitive in a playoff game? Only one way to know.
They’re not one of the 4 best imo without Travis. They really aren’t. Probably not even top 6. But it’s a load of BS that Bama jumped them when all FSU did is win. If we aren’t going to let on field results be the ultimate indicator of who should be in, then FSU should have just forfeited the remainder of their games as soon as Travis got hurt and saved themselves a lot of effort and disappointment.
I see valid points for all 3 teams being left out. And all 3 would have a reason to be mad if left out. So, it doesn't bother me.4 conference champions got in. The one with the weakest resume from the softest conference didn’t. Tennessee wasn’t involved. Who cares?

And I guess my biggest argument is that this version of FSU’s team was not one of the 4 best teams and Bama being chosen as 4th is almost….secondary???
This was a very easy, straight-forward question. This post drew a lot of responses from a bunch of different posters that made a lot of different arguments. However, not a single response so far has answered this simple question by stating that they think Florida State would beat Alabama. So you think that FSU would beat Alabama on a neutral field if they played tomorrow (with FSU's QB on ice)?
But the nfl sucks according to half the people hereThe sooner they model the playoff after the NFL (ie an actual playoff based on wins-losses, not some subjective measure about who looks the "prettiest") the better. The system is broken beyond repair. All driven by the power broker$ with the most Benji's.
Since when is the CFP tiebreaker a subjective prognostication about what may or may not happen instead of wins-losses throughout the duration of a season? This was a very easy, straight-forward question. I don’t think (not that what I think matters at all) they’re a top 4 team in the country. Not a conference champion, especially in the hardest conference in college football.Osu had a higher SOS, beat two top 10 teams and has a better loss than bama. Also have the #2 defense. Why didn’t you put them in your top 4?
