Man...you REALLY buy into this "SEC is always the best" garbage don't you?

Most years I would agree, but the SEC is the paper tiger this year and Bama or UGA neither one are their usual dominant self....you are seeing them for what they have done for the last decade...not what they are doing now.

No I don’t. I mean besides the fact that the SEC has the majority of the best athletes. But I do buy into Bama and UGA being better than pretty much every other team in the country. Doesn’t mean they can’t lose, just that in most instances I’m taking one of those 2 to win.

The best offense that Iowa faced all year is Illinois, who has the 59th best offense in the country. Ohio State had the best offense in the Big 10 and 36th best in the country. After that every team in the Big 10 is 59th or worst in the country, with 7 teams being 99th or worst.

Tennessee has the 17th best offense in the country.

Do you really have “so many” opt out from 1 team? Usually only the guys who are high draft picks. FSU has that but there are plenty that are not.

It’s a NY6 bowl, not the Music City Bowl.
The less important the game, the more opt-outs. The Orange Bowl means sigificantly less to FSU then it did to us last year.

Norvell may tuck his tail and eat whatever dogsh*t the committee puts in his bowl, but I'd prefer to watch him bite their hand instead.

Or he just got lucky in the portal.
Why the hell is it so hard to acknowledge that he has done a really good job?...he ain't working with a 5* 3 deep like Bama and UGA, yet he has developed a really good football team.

I want to punch him in his goofy face...but the dork actually did a great job this year....period.

I'm not sure why it took this long for the odds to flip. FSU doesn't look like the same team without Travis. They had two games to prove that they were still a top four team, using both backup QB's, and couldn't do it. Against both Florida and Louisville, they had their lowest passing yards, yards per pass attempt, passer ratings, total offense, yards per play, and points scored (24 pts versus UF tied the Pitt game) of the entire season. By contrast, Ohio State beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the 2014 Big 10 championship game using Cardale Jones; 558 total yards, 10 yards per play, 255 passer rating. They used that game to successfully make their case for playoff inclusion after losing their starter. FSU failed do that, IMO.
New Mexico st beat Auburn by 21, Liberty beat New Mexico st by 14
Bama beat auburn by 3 on a Hail Mary.
So NMS is 18 better than Bama
And Liberty is 32 better than Bama.

That’s how it works. Use scores to determine who’s better between teams that haven’t played.
Disregard winning every game in a power 5 conference.

That should not matter. I am very glad that March Madness doesn't have the 64 best teams.
That's the point. You'd be extremely irritated if March madness only had 4 teams and some d2 conf champ who had no chance to beat the 1 seed was one of the 4.

The 4-team limit is the issue here. 8 would solve it, 12 will definitely solve it. There is no perfect answer when you only have 4 spots to work with.
