I get this, I do. And I honestly don’t really care who gets selected because if Tennessee isn’t in I couldn’t give two ***** about anyone else, but the official College Football Playoff website states their mission is “For purposes of any four-team playoff, the process will inevitably need to select the four best teams from among several with legitimate claims to participate.”

Like, that is their stated explicit mission statement. It does say “best” not “deserving.”
