I think the problem is that Basketball bleeds into the last part of football’s season. It’s hard for some to switch over from one sport to the other. BB is different, it’s about the long haul of a season.

Also refuse to believe the overreactors have ever played basketball themselves. It's like they don't get it at all. Basketball is more skill and luck (variance) than will-to than football. You can't will your shots in.

I enjoyed the HBO series, too, especially rhe Jeremy Irons/Ozymandias parts...it still didn't come close to what the book is, though. Wonder if it was just a one-off, the series? I'm assuming so.

Very true. I suffered a "sprain" when I played. Images showed ligaments that had separated from the bone. Each had a bone fragment attached. Surgery was the only option if I was to continue playing. I'm just hoping it's not one of those dreaded "high" ankle sprains. Never had that, but everyone says it's something that just hangs and haunts all season long. That would be a real blow considering how Knecht plays the game and how UT needs him to play. He's the one guy we couldn't afford to lose. Not so funny how that seems to happen to UT players every year....in every sport.

All those injuries depend on the person. I had a High Ankle sprain that healed up fully in 4 weeks and was playing on it by week 2. (Heavily taped and braced) FWIW, a High Ankle feels like you have broken your leg so I doubt if he was walking on it that’s what he had.

Ankles are weird. Some people roll them and are completely fine. I would roll my ankle all the time and be fine the next day. So hopefully it was one of those for him.

Guess we should just be happy with not making a final 4 just because we have never made it to one, even though we are paying Barnes top 10 money. Cool story mediocre bro.

I’m a fan of bad Amazon reviews. Not the fake ones from China, but genuinely clueless people who have no idea what consists of an actual review. Stuff like:

The discussion was moving onto another coach and you mentioned not making a FF with Barnes...

As if another coach is more likely to, despite our vast history against the likelihood.

Barnes has done as well (better in most aspects) as anyone, so yes you take him as long as he'll have you. Might just win another SEC title, tourney, or more...
