I mean, Joe is what he is. Every single
intangible was given by God. With exception of most important item, between the ears. Even that said, we are devoid of any playmaking talent, at WR. Giving up on the run, and making the defense win the game? What else can be said:
With his arm and this offense there is no reason why he shouldn't have been murdering teams on slants...he simply does not see them.

He will get that next season. The bowl could help, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter that much. It sure didn’t help Cade Klubnik getting a start against us for his next season.
You are really undervaluing the experience of going through bowl practices and the game as QB1.

The run wasn't doing anything.

I get the sentiment and agree it would be better to be dependent on 10k donors vs 10, but not sure that’s true in reality in this arena.

I don’t know that we have more fans than other teams, and don’t think our twitter presence is a good barometer. So once the dust settles it’s perfectly possible that the best NIL firms will still be those who have the biggest donors.

Ultimately, I’m not sure it matters how much money we have anyways. Success is the best recruiter. Figure out how to win with what we have and we’ll bring in the best of the best. Money matters to the extent that we have enough to keep up with the top dogs, but don’t know that we have to have the most. That said, I could be totally wrong. UGA spends a million more on recruiting than any other team, and that seems to be working out for them.
How many is the Vol Club already up to?

We have a massive fanbase, not many schools can boast a bigger one. And I do believe social media (and msg boards btw) are a good directional indicator.

@Ulysees E. McGill I meant to ask you about this when I saw you post it but forgot to

you mentioned yesterday or earlier this weekend that next season's schedule will be very hard

I kind of like our schedule for next season...

Obviously we don't know the order yet, but we only have 3 true road games. One of them is a homecoming for Josh, and one of them is vs an Arkansas team that appears to be collapsing.

I think we're both on the same page that our roster health and (most importantly) depth are really the key contributors to how hard this schedule will be.
We add Oklahoma...at Norman..to our normal brutal schedule..c'mon man.

Sampson was pretty much an underrated outstanding 3* find in Baton Rouge, a kid who loved Kamara, which gave us an edge. I don't recall Bama being in on it, but maybe they were late. We spotted him early, or as early as staff being new could be "early," iirc.

Are you aware of any word about this by anyone close to the program? All I known is an unreliable fear- and rumor-monger started a thread in the FF yesterday with no evidence.

I think it’s a rumor because Wright did it last year and presumably got more money. Also, it seems like Sampson should have received more carries this year which people assume makes all players unhappy. Not playing him at UF was a huge mistake but that is my opinion. He probably deserves to be paid a premium because he will be the main dude next year in a run heavy offense.

Not sure. @jvols1999 might know, he’s an ambassador for Atlanta. He may also know who other ambassadors are that are volnation posters, which would be helpful to know for questions about the volunteer club.

He saw them versus inferior talent. Which tells me its between the ears. Yes, we are less talented at WR. Yes Thornton was playing out of place. Yes Ramel dropped everything thrown his way. Yes we forgot about the TE's.

But, still there were plays left unmade. Wanting highlight teels versus using those legs.

Glad it’s a conference game now so we don’t get the groanworthy buy the game out threads courtesy of Tony B listeners. 🙄
GA was supposed to play at Norman this year, but they claimed they "could not" and had to cancel:rolleyes:. Sankey fronted for Kirby, declaring there was no possible way for Oklahoma to play a return visit in Athens when Oklahoma was actually joining the conference and he makes the schedules!

Sankey also "forgot" to send Kirby to play at TAMU this year. Just accidentally left them out of the rotation and started over from the top. GA has never played there since TAMU joined the conference. Some teams in the East are on their second trip.

I know I have said these things before, but just in case someone is unaware of the kind of schedule manipulation that the Birmingham office practices.
