You probably know more about QBs than Heupel
Guarantee more than you.

Please explain why you wouldn’t give Nico all the reps to prepare for next year in a meaningless bowl game?

Unless you are in the playoff, bowl games mean nothing and are meant to develop depth and prepare for the next year.

Wasting time on Milton for fifteen more practices when he won’t be here is dumb.

There are so many things more important in life than your favorite team winning. I can't understand any grown man putting enough importance in college football to make them cry when things are bad...unless you work for the university and your job is on the line.
Sometimes sports bring men out of a slump in their life or gets kids through a tough childhood

But i want to be able to tell my grandchildren about the great Outback bowl win of 2023.. think of the children

This is going to sound cocky, but I've literally done this in my career...I could easily expand their reach and following on social media that would probably result in a massive increase in members. It could be done with a small budget...maybe in the $5k-$10k range per year (none going to me). I emailed them last year and the response I eventually received on this forum from someone who works for Spyre was "sorry, I never saw your email...send it again." Felt like they didn't really want the input, so I just moved on. I didn't ask for anything and had no intention to. I just wanted to help. They've made some moves to increase visibility on social media, but they don't seem to understand that there's a trust and motivation factor involved in getting people to actually do something. I really don't think it would be hard to reach a lot of Tennessee fans online, quickly explain what they do, establish trust with the audience, and influence them to act.
I did the same and provided the idea for the "out of state" Vol fans that might only get to one game a year. I thought it was a good idea to create a package for us. No one responded.

hmmm, I wonder if the problem is with the owner.
Owner that what's it NOW....more money than common sense ....

People can bitch and make fun of Jerry Jones but the man is patient with HC...

Him and Jimmy couldn't get along but still were together long enough to win 3 Super Bowls....

Let's not forget Mr. 8-8 every year Jason Garrett...it broke Jerry's heart to fire him...after so many .500 seasons...

I don’t have an opinion on what should be done. But I guarantee Heupel knows more than you

I'm old enough to remember us being good every year in the 90's and early 2000's. I don't expect this team to win a natty every other year. We have never been that program. I don't ever expect us to lose to a sub .500 team. That should never be acceptable. If we are turning the page as a program, I think we should hold ourselves higher than comparing to what the previous idiots did. I have watched every second of all of those painful games. I still think Huepel could be the guy and win a lot of games here. That doesn't mean losing to 5-7 UF and not being close against Mizzou is ok. I think its ok to say those are red flags that have to be addressed going forward.
football is fun again. if you don't like it. wear red.

If you've followed football since the 90s then you'll know the Swamp is arguably the toughest place to play in SEC. We best then last year, its a rivalry game. there's a reason we haven't won there since 2003, i know i was there.

So much about winning is QB play. And he didnt play well. Hope Nico will live up to the Heup.

Wasting time supporting your players is never dumb. "Yeah, I took a steamer on Joe, but I'd never do that to you...". Right.

I sincerely hope not.

Heupel really screwing the QB situation this year. Nico should have played much more and now is the time to focus on next year. Nico with all first team reps for bowl practice will do wonders for next year.

FWIW I think that Nico has played in 4 games this year and they haven't given a waiver for the bowl game to not count against redshirt games yet. They did last year but it was a 1 year waiver. I would expect them to this year but never know.

It's also dumb to redshirt Nico but we made it this far into the season without burning it, doubt he will for bowl game reps.

Bowls don’t factor into redshirt eligibility.

It's already been stated by multiple sources, including during the game last week that bowl games don't count.

My unsolicited opinion on SPYRE / Vol Club and all other NIL Collectives.
As soon as NIL became possible, I looked for someone to take my money and give it to the players. I actually thought about trying to do it myself (same business model as SPYRE). Then I found Spyre (pre-Vol Club days). I messaged with some of their management and liked their openness to the business model. 90% of the donated dollars go to player deals. 10% goes to management. Sounded perfect. I am a diehard fan / alumnus / overly obsessed VFL. Why would I not take every effort I could find to make my team better. EVEN IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE A SCAM / TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Eyes wide open to the risk, I signed up. I pledged $19.51 per month (their cute early promotional nod to our Natty) and started my personal friend recruitment effort to do the same.

I would rather spend $20/ month on a promised 90% funnel to our athletes than ESPN+, or Peacock, or Paramount+, or any other "required" streaming service.

I agree with the previous poster about breadth of donor base instead of depth...
Our stadium holds 100,000 people. Our fanbase is X10 that. If 10,000 fans made the same pledge as me, we can compete in the new NIL$$$ landscape. if 20,000... we will dominate recruiting (HS and Portal) again.

BUT, here's my prediction. One of these collectives (either ours, or aTm, or Texas, or Oregon, Or anOSU, or theU, or Bama, or, or, or) will be busted for embezzlement. This process inherently has a curtain between the donors (me) and where the money goes. If the University isn't able to see behind that curtain (and at this point I have no idea if they do), somebody is going to steal from one of these collectives like Don King pulling money out of Tyson's pocket.

Regardless, I feel this is a donation I am comfortable with. IF it even has a chance at helping our team (and based on Nico's rumored commitment deal it has), then I'm going to do whatever I can to help, and wear my Vol Club t-shirt with pride.

tl,dnr: signup for Vol Club today even if they rip you off in the future.
