I REALLY wan Wright back, I’d love for him to set the new career record and I think if they fed him more carries (200+) he could be a legit Heisman candidate next year, especially if Mays, Spraggins, & Mincey are all back.

But he has low tread on the tires, great production and no injury worries so going in the draft now makes a ton of sense.
He doesn’t want to waste any more time in college, you can tell. He’ll probably opt out of the bowl.

So ATM fired a coach who went 7-5, tried to hire another coach who went 7-5, then people got so mad they were going to hire a 7-5 coach that they backed out, and now hired a coach who went 7-5 (from the coaching tree of the coach they just fired).
Winning 9 and 7 games at Duke is like winning 11 at most other places… not even considering Elko did it with his quarterback out quite a bit.. great hire for Aggies. He took over a disaster

I’m still so damn confused how you can win by 24 points (almost cover spread but took all starters out) and still drop more than 4 spots in the AP? I know the AP doesn’t matter anymore but still…what?

I think Tennessee was #25 last week and #26 this week - not that surprising really. Be interesting to see where they land in the playoff poll - those people seem to like Tennessee more than the AP voters.

@jave36 If Bama were to win, I would be fine with any team presently in the top 8 going over Georgia. Let Kirby taste Birmingham's machinations. And see how he likes it. Maybe that would help. Let four conference champions play. Anything but an unworthy Bama. It reeks of corruption.

If they lose to Bama (which is not a great team IMO), Georgia's not a top 4 team anyway. The defensive front 7 has been questionable, especially against the run, all season, and attrition hasn't helped. I figured they'd get exposed against your guys, but OL and WR injuries pretty much cooked your goose.

Maybe they'll find answers in the postseason, but some glaring weaknesses are on tape for everyone to see.

I like Elko but he’s how much of his success can be attributed to Riley Leonard + a weak b ACC? No coach is a sure thing but if A&M wants him to be successful they are banking on him recruiting better due to the program differences, and hiring a better offensive staff with more resources. Which is kinda the same you would assume with a Stoops hire.
Must’ve done ok with the offensive staff that utilized Leonard better than Cut. Isn’t winning with the talent available and against the competition scheduled a significant portion of a coach’s grade?

If everybody will hit that little ole ignore button it will as effective as if @frank banned him. People keep responding and he gets the fuel for his fire that he so desperately wants and needs.
He’s been on ignore for a time when I couldn’t take anymore of his gibberish. Unfortunately I still see when people respond to him.

In his first season went 9-4…at DUKE. Following Cutcliffe’s final 3-9 effort.
Stoops went 10-2 twice in the SEC…..at Kentucky. 0 resources, very very very few instate kids worth a damn. Most, if not all of that money goes into basketball. I’m not saying Stoops is a great coach, but not wanting him and wanting to hire someone that’s about the same caliber coach is weird.

I don’t think any of their coaching choices were impressive.

Traylor, Stoops, Elko, just all meh. 7-5/8-4 coaches.

It’s honestly so annoying this era of college football we are in where teams are just calling other players and telling them to hop in the portal and come play for us. Just a truly sad state of affairs.
Why?

Coaches jump left and right. These guys are taking tremendous physical risks to be on the field. Why shouldn’t they be able to move for more money or a better spot?
