Georgia has to beat alabama. I don't want Saban begging for a playoff spot if they beat the dogs. Worse case scenario is both teams get in. Gross.

The tide don't deserve to make the playoffs this season..... just like last year

They'll have to give stoops a good contract, he has a good contract at UK. So many coaches out there and they have so much $. . . hard to believe that Stoops is their main guy. I wonder who all turned then down?

I have a pretty high opinion of Stoops. Higher than most of the people here anyway.

Dude is a tier 3 coach. There's really no reason he should be getting interviewed let alone seriously considered for that job. That's the best coaching job that has become available from a firing in... Maybe forever.

That said, I'm here for it. Kentucky would definitely botch the hire Dooley style and Stoops would do exactly what Jimbo has been doing, which is not much.

I wouldn’t think this is the case, Stoops already has a large buyout at UK, so this wouldn’t make sense in that case. If they were just trying to get by while they pay off Jimbo’s buyout, then someone like Traylor would’ve been the pick

Is there any chance their boosters think they’re hiring Bob Stoops?

I just have this funny image in my head of some 90 year old oil baron sitting at the introductory presser thinking, “Who is this jacka** and when is he gonna shut up and let Bob speak?”

That's what I thought they were doing when they hired Petrino..... getting Jimbo's replacement onsite for a smooth transition.

*I know he's a scumbag but he's won a bunch of ball games. Hugh Freeze got a 2nd chance in the SEC, why not Bobby Petrino
