I was at an ice skating competition once with my daughter in a ritzy Dallas mall waiting for an elevator standing there with about eight 6-10 year old girls. The door opened and two teenagers walked out with spiked Mohawk haircuts. All of the little girls immediately started laughing and pointing at them. The look of embarrassment on their faces was priceless.

Kids are weird. Swim meet was Friday night, and I texted her asking how it was going, "good". That's all we got until I picked her up from work, and had a chance to ask her to explain . She got first in breaststroke, and 3rd in free. Why couldn't she just say that!

A few decades ago, my brother had a friend in Wyoming who raised a couple of turkeys. He invited a group of peers who were not traveling to be with family to join him for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone was asked to contribute something, and he would provide the turkey. He asked that my brother and his wife come over early to help him prepare. Upon their arrival, he went out and shot his turkeys, then asked them to help clean and prepare them for cooking.
