I honestly haven’t watched that much of the Eagles play, but the handful of games I did watch he was playing well. So if he sucks this season, then okay. Guess I’m wrong.

Yep he's a beast on those WR screens. I think that ultimately Bru is a really solid WR2, like a high WR2. Not sure if he's a true WR1

Hooker's play did a lot to cover up the deficiencies on the team. With a lot of super seniors (most, if not all, are mid-SEC level talent), we're going to see a lot of young guys playing bigger roles starting next season. I almost look at this season as Heupel saying thank you to the guys that stuck around since they've started several super seniors that likely are a lot less talented than their younger back-ups. I can see the bigger picture strategy of what Heupel has done to manage the roster so more older guys didn't transfer and kill their depth while keeping the young guys engaged since they see all the open positions coming up.

I hadn’t thought about this but it does make sense.

How much more Heupel did last season with so much less. When we get QB cleaned up we will be rolling again. That position papers over a thousand other sins when you have the right guy in.

Bru was a monster loss. He was far more than a simple stat line.

Could have been rolling with Nico by now but I get what Huep is doing. But what is worrisome is the decision making lately.

When you only have 2 scholarship QBs and a very problematic OL while also replacing your star WRs it changes the calculus. I don’t think Nico was ready early on and when he finally was ready Joe was doing just enough to keep his job. I feel like starting Nico might’ve burned the chance to use Joe as a backup but Nico could always stay backup to Joe. It was just an unfortunate roster situation compounded by other injuries and problems on offense.

Vikings offense has just been completely shut down since that fumble by Matteson 3 drives ago. Basically no forward progress.

It’s been awful. I know Dobbs has had several close calls on INT’s tonight and already threw one pick, but Vikings have barely tried to throw the ball.
