Gimme a break...Castles and Warren are plenty athletic...Joe and this playcalling is horrible.
They're fine, but not bluechip, future NFL level which is what you need lining up vs UGA or Bama. We do have a guy or two like that now heading in. Apreciate our dudes, just explaining why we don't use TEs much, as it isn't a natural (or favorable) position to utilize given this spread scheme.

But an elite guy like Davis can get outside and keep the scheme.

I know we keep saying portal, portal, portal. But, what about NIL deals to keep the following players if their draft grades aren't high:

Big O
Barron
Campbell
Mays
Spraggins

These guys, plus a good portal haul might be more realistic than total dependence on the portal to add 10 players that can plug and play?

I mean joe milton this, joe milton that

You have to acknowledge a a WR core of Squirrel, Keyton, Nimrod and Webb is pretty abysmal right?

One of the least talented groups of WR's we have ever had to start.

Squirrel is the only one worth a damn out of that group.

JUST MADE ME THINK ABOUT 2024

👀

MIKE MATTHEWS

BRU MCCOY

SQUIRREL WHITE

ETHAN DAVIS

ETC...

👀

The portal can give teams new life going into a new season. Tennessee has to hold onto the ‘23, ‘24 classes, and strike gold on the portal. Even though UT is losing a lot, the cup board isn’t empty, especially with the last 2 recruiting classes.

Can this staff develop players.. I’m not sure. This season has been interesting.

If there is a handshake agreement that a 5* signee who the entire fanbase is drooling to see is gonna redshirt, then that needs to be public information.

Beating A&M was really nice. Wanted payback for 2016.

And revenge on USCjr was very cathartic. Loved that W.

And adding another on UK is always fun, especially inside Kroger.
AM was the only decent win, and thats because of their talent.

UK and SCAR suck, TN always should beat them. Boring.

Ah yes because a guy named “volunteerhillbilly” definitely deserves to know about a recruiting agreement between the hc and family of said player 😂😂

It was at Star but does that really matter? You telling me this dude is going to cover a UGA receiver better than those other guys?View attachment 596595
Position does kind of matter. He came in for Jourdan Thomas, I think. We played a walk-on the last couple of defensive plays in last year’s Bama game. 🤷‍♂️

It amazes me at how quick people forget where we were and how far we have come. To be honest this team put up two bad games this year that they should have won, Fla and Missouri and got beat by the ones most thought they would. At the beginning of the year almost EVERYBODY said 10-2 or 9-3 with the possibility of 8-4 if things didn't go our way and guess what they didn't all go our way.

Now I'm reading this BS about fire CJH, who in the hell do you think we could just go get. Name one big time super successful coach in the country that has won national championships that would just drop everything to coach our team. Kirby Smart, Saban, Dey,, oh, I forgot Jimbo Fisher, lets get real for a moment, back off the ledge and think about what we're bitching about.

Do things need to be changed, yes. Will those changes be made, some I'm sure but not one person on this board goes to practices and is privy to what the coaches are saying among themselves about what we have talent wise and what we need. I feel fairly certain they know.

I don't think they have enough confidence in the QB to run the whole offense. I think the musical chairs that has been the OL hasn't helped and young WR haven't yet learned to get separation like last year.

The defense has been beat up and beat down. Lack of experience at LB and just the plain lack of ability to put the DB's in position to be successful is a problem that must be fixed in order to get to the next level.

We have a good coach and he knows what they need in order to be successful more than any of us do. It will take time....like it or not.

Dooley's expected peak/inflection season:
2012, went 5-7

Butch's
expected peak/inflection season:
2016, went 8-4

Pruitt's
expected peak/inflection season:
2020, went 3-7

Heupel's
expected peak/inflection season:
Tbd in 2024, but already won 11 & going 8-4 in a rebuild season, exceeding or matching all 3 coaches's peak seasons 🤣😅
