How will you feel if we beat Georgia?

Just a temp check on what happens if we do pull it off this weekend.

And yes I know, "It don't matter because we ain't beating Georgia", but just humor me here.

It will be an ugly mixture of happiness and frustration. Same as last year. Winning the near impossible and throwing away the easier ones.

First I'll be elated and tickled beyond all doubt. However, I'll also be forced to understand in 3 years against Bama, UGA, and UF he has gone 3-9 IF he does win. I believe we come out of that game where he's actually 2-9. Also the two embarrassments one at South Carolina and the other at Mizzou this past weekend does him no good for being a long term solution at UT. But if he pulls it off, no doubt it would go a long long way toward him being the long term solution as well. I have not yet written Heupel off and want him to succeed, but I have become a skeptic he is our long term solution. Reality has bitten me in the donkey.

I dunno what I would be more shocked by-UT beating Georgia Saturday or me waking up tomorrow morning with my head sewn to the carpet.

All that being said, if the Vols win Saturday-great. I would be tickled pink with just a good game though so I have already made my peace with this expected loss.

I live just north of Atlanta and my mother in-law lives in Athens and my brother in-law went to UGA and they are big Georgia homers. I would love to finally be able to brag about a win over Georgia. 7 years has been an eternity since the last one.

It would rank up there with knocking off #1 Auburn back when Bo played…they key to that game was that we were just more physical. They had more talent but our guys hit harder and never let up. Auburn blinked and we just kept pounding them on every play.
