I appreciate you putting us on the list. We’re trying to get back but the last generation hasn’t been kind to is.It goes beyond Texas having a good season. A&M fans have a delusional sense of where they are in the college football universe. They believe they are on par with Texas, OU, Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, and Tennessee because they have money. Look at their trophy case; they aren't.
My opinion. I think we go into next season with four very likely losses on the schedule. Add in the players we're going to lose, the continuing scholarship reductions, and the apparent panache for losing one we should win and odds are that next year will be worse in the tally that counts the most even if foundational stuff is still improving. I was impressed last year but like the famous Nashville record producer Fred Foster used to tell songwriters looking for a contract...anyone can get lucky and write one hit. No two ways around it, this season was regression. It needs to get better fast but it probably won't. Heupel is untouchable for at least the next four years. I don't care what A&M does, we all know UTK people are not gonna pay someone $9 million a year to go away unless it's just for a year or two on the back end and then only if things are really awful and people just aren't willing to shell out big donations for seating and parking priority. One of the worst parts about losing is everyone with and without a brain has an opinion that they think is truth, and feels the need to share it. Including me.
Not sure I have a point, just saying.
Kirby took over a good solid 9-3 team.
If we'd gone 8-4 last year then 10-2 this year things wouldn't look too bad at all. But there are other working parts in that too. Would Golesh been offered a job and left after last year?
After year 3 hes gonna have a pretty good record, especially for what he inherited, and either way, next year is gonna start the same way. Next year is where I think we really see what kind of a coach he is. Good or bad or anything in between.

Up to 20 is what I read.We just don’t know what next year is going to look like.
There are way too many what ifs at this point.
Like how many take advantage of the Covid year and come back. There’s more than a few that could
And who is going to develop like Hyatt did.
Plus they’re starting to say that ivermectin is “getting it” in practice. I will wait till next August before I decide to panic
Lol, your posts always just seem so gloom and doom and always talking about replacing a coach and money. My opinion. I think we go into next season with four very likely losses on the schedule. This week the buzz has been that Nico is “getting it” as in the understanding of what Hypel wants is really starting to click.Lol, your posts always just seem so gloom and doom and always talking about replacing a coach and money.
It'll be fine or it won't and not one thing up there changes my finances, so I really don't gaf about the money side of it.
A lot can and will happen between now and next August and I'm excited to see to what Nico can do. Ed friggin Orgeron, how ever you spell it, won an NC with an elite QB. Anything can happen and there's not one damn thing I can do about it but ride the ride.
Amen.
This is all foundational material for the Freeze/Heupel comparison threads I'll be posting for the next five or six years. It's like math. If you don't learn the formulas in Algebra I you'll be lost like a babe in the woods when we start Calculus.Lol, your posts always just seem so gloom and doom and always talking about replacing a coach and money.

Freeze will be fired by the end of next year. We just need to fix our defense. Rumor is there will be some shake up on that side after the season. This is all foundational material for the Freeze/Heupel comparison threads I'll be posting for the next five or six years.
