Players Thoughts on Game

Whatever as I’m over it. It’s the same comments after every loss. If it’s “gap containment” then that should’ve been corrected weeks ago. Penalties? Don’t hold. It’s difficult being a lineman and blocking as a WR. But a couple were useless penalties. It’s coaching.

Defense was pathetic and the offense wasn’t much better. The play calling was suspect on some certain possessions. You can’t do the the above against good teams, and Mizz is not an elite team ( but a good team).

I didn’t see them commenting live, I just read what you posted, but it just doesn’t sound like there’s a whole lotta conviction
That may be because they got the mess beaten out of them and they aren’t smart enough to figure out why.

They sure do have the end zone celebrations and smack talk down pat, however (when they get there).

Just an observation

Who cares. They obviously played like they didn't.

Same canned responses that come after every loss. Sounds just like Heupel's comments if I'm being honest. No passion. No anger over being embarrassed on a national stage. Entire bunch sounds like a guy who's clocking days during the last couple of weeks before retirement. Just going through the motions and collecting a check.

They obviously weren't invested in this game.

Just clean and jerk to next week and hopefully the staff and home game can motivate them next week. Hope they can screw up UGA and the playoff committee....thats what the season has come down to.

Kind of pitiful they can't get motivated for road games but it is what it is at this point.

Well, the east is gone. No Citrus bowl either. With today's performance, it seems some of the upperclassmen aren't really into the season anymore. Unless it would impact a redshirt situation, I see no reason not to really start working our youngsters into the remaining games early and often. Mix them in with the starters and let's start seeing what we've got for next year.

We have roughly the same chance of beating UGA next week as we do getting hit by twelve meteorites in one day.

What should have been said:

We came out with no heart and let down the greatest fanbase in the world. You all deserve better and we understand that. Please accept our apology for letting you down, AGAIN.

What should have been said by the Tennessee players,

"We played like **** today and every Tennessee fan that showed up today will get their money back for watching that travesty of a performance."
