The Atlanta Braves

Tillman got hurt against Akron.
..and was back for Kentucky exactly 6 weeks post injury. I just saw where it would be 27 days post surgery for Bowers. Apparently Tua did it in about 30 days. I'd be surprised if Bowers is truly a full go or really anything beyond just dressing out and maybe being on the field for a few plays since it's his last home game. But what do I know?

Happy for him. I don't get the strategy of hiring a 71 year old or why a 71 year old wants to move across country . . . but I'm happy for him.
Happy and sad. He'll be out of there in 2-3 years once they start a rebuild in earnest; he'll have a debilitated Trout, no Ohtani, and a bunch of scrubs to work with.

Obviously it's a huge raise for him, but 71-year-olds oftentimes are motivated by things other than money. I'm kind of surprised he wants that job or any managerial job at this stage in his career, honestly.
