Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

I eat alot of red meat for the protein, but yeah those shakes can be addictive, but being expensive keeps them at 1 a day for me. IDK I had alot of stress eating like donuts, deserts, KFC etc Im kind of at a loss to why my weight stayed the same - also my A1C dropped a point and a half to 7.5 ( just found out today ) I was clearly thinking the worst
If you want to call me a liar just say it and stop pussyfooting around it. Lol.

My diet didn't change except I ate a bunch of peanut butter, with a spoon right out of the jar and maybe a pound and a half of a mix of almonds and walnuts too. Plus 2 protein shakes. I'm sure without the peanut butter it wouldn't have been as bad, obviously, but all of it contributed to it and that's what you asked.

I believe you - my dad used to eat peanut butter like that too, but also ice cream and well probably like Fury on here eats -- stress eating

And I don't know about you @volfanbill but I hate the update to Connect that changed the Sleep information format.
I think it’s just part of grieving, but I’ve just been exhausted all month. My sleep hasn’t been awful, but all I want to do is sleep. I don’t mind the format, but I don’t understand what seems to be changing just to change

@Behr you holding up ok during this troubling time???
What troubling time? The problem with the connect server being down all day? Lulz. If so, yeah. I'm being impatient wanting to record my numbers, but I'll live.

If that's not what you meant, I'm lost. Lol

That’s what I was referencing. I knew about it this morning, assumed it was already fixed until I mowed my yard and didn’t get my stats on connect

I looked at that one, love the look of that one and then found out it's not good for tracking hiking.

Just went to Best Buy and the bezel space is way too much on the Garmin forerunner 255s for me. Samsung's smaller size fits me perfectly too, Garmins are too big for my wrist. So, Samsung 6 it is when it goes on sale.
Just a thought. If price is a big thing and you're waiting on them to go down on the 6, you should look at the 5. Pretty sure it's basically the same watch as the 6 as far as software and hardware, just different batteries, case and glass material with minor changes in displays.

Anyway, I saw Amazon had the 5 cheap right now and thought about you.

No… where do I find it?
Where you find weather. Glances. I have weather on my face so I just press it to shortcut to weather. Scroll down and it's the 4th screen. Press the top right button (run) and it animates it. Really cool.

Nothing to see on it now but when there is it's on point.

I read an article the other day that said one new update that was coming is skin temp. They weren't sure which models were getting it but several were. Hope that's us.

That's the one thing the new Samsung 6 has that I really liked. It measured it over night and the nights my Garmin gave me a low sleep score, the Samsung showed my skin temp was hotter. It was really cool seeing the differences.

Price isn't big, I just hate having to pay for something new when I don't want to. 😄 I just took Rocky for a walk and it says I went 0.05. Riiight.

@volfanbill

I finally got my numbers back up and stable, except my recovery time is wack. I got frustrated trying to find anything that satisfied me. Just curious if you experienced it.

My Training Readiness was 88 Saturday morning and I ran 4 miles. Recovery time afterwards was 45 hours.

Today my TR was 77 and I waited until recovery was 0. I ran only 1.36 miles at a 14.10 pace and my recovery is 21 hours. Lol. WTF?

Mine has been off since getting Covid over the summer. I thought it was maybe getting better but when mom passed, my sleep went to poop and TR was atrocious. The past two weeks I’ve been ramping all my workouts seriously back up and my TR is always near 0, telling me to take multiple rest days. I’m hoping it’ll correct itself

Do you guys know what all Training Readiness is factoring into the score? Pulse rate, pulse evenness, skin temp, something something? There's not all that much that a wearable can measure. It's an interesting metric.

I posted the wrong screenshot. Not sure this is enough info or if it's the same as your Apple.

Yeah you told me all that, that's why I was asking about your recovery time. I went through something similar, obviously not about your mom, but being sick.

Blah blah blah, I'm gonna do the same, just see if it'll work itself out. I looked back at my Excel sheets and I didn't start keeping records on recovery time until 2 weeks before I got sick, so not much help.

Got my 955 last October so that's a full year with Garmin and I couldn't be more pleased. I'd personally like it to be 49mm and have ECG, Temp and that cool flashlight the Fenix 7 and Epix have, but just wishes not must have things.

Gotta admit, I like having the ECG. Mine started sending afib alerts in March or so, around the time my mom had her (latest) big scares, and my sleep went to pieces, etc. I got my butt to the doctor - not afib, but related (premature atrial contractions.) Still trying to get things back to where they were.

My pulse rate has slowed dramatically, I can rarely get it much above 100 except on pretty extreme hikes, and my heart rate recovery is weirdly good (it slows back down very quickly.) All this gets me "you're doing great!" in heart recovery time, but I dunno, something's going on there. I had a VERY brief period on metoprolol and refused to take it after a few weeks. Felt like a truck had hit me, and it didn't do my asthma any favors.. Ugh, hate beta blockers.
