Israel vs Palestinians

We should acknowledge how insane the "right of return" is. They're not saying "we want to be able to live in our ancestorial home land". But rather "we should be able to return to homes that our grandparents lived in, be given those homes, and the Israeli's who now live there should be kicked out".

It's an insane standard. It would be like if Polish Americans who fled post WWII just showed up in Poland today and demanded they be given their grandparents former home and the current owner be evicted. It's absurd.
Especially since the vast majority were sold by their grandparents.

"We were against targeting civilians ... After the Hebron massacre we determined that it was time to kill Israel's civilians ... we offered to stop if Israel would, but they rejected that offer." - Musa Abu Marzouk

You're the only person dumb enough to take Hamas at their word here. Prior to Hebron massacre, Hamas killed civilians. After, they still kill civilians.

They're trying to excuse their open attacks on Israel and blaming it on a widely condemned terrorist attack is disgusting. Israel is the only side that tries to prevent civilian casualties.

When Palestinians kill civilians their government names streets after them and gives millions to their family. When Israeli's kill citizens they are tried and convicted.

Your attempts to pretend this is the same or that Hamas is justified are disgusting.

Gaza is a “concentration camp”

I wonder if the Israelis know what a concentration camp looks like? It’s pretty clear the apologists have no clue.

It ain't a concentration camp, but its occupants are mostly trapped. Those with the cash to travel have 12 options in the world in which to travel to. Might be even more limited now.

12 sounds better than sitting still after being warned that Israel is going to bomb you and imminently invade with ground forces.

Israel was opening their borders to allow for Gaza workers to come in and earn a living prior to the attack. Hard to feel bad for people who continually do this to themselves.

Again, you lump all of the people in Gaza in the same boat. It's as if you lack the ability to analyze with any nuance.

Support for Hamas encompasses the majority of the country. Many of the others support other radical groups such as Islamic Jihad. Until they decide they’re down with those groups, there’s nothing anyone else can do for them.

Ever wonder why? Why do Egyptians or others not open their country?

The article that started the deportation of protesters with student visas conversation never mentioned anybody calling for the death of anybody else. I'm sure it's probably happening, but I haven't seen you link anything. Maybe I'm missing something.
“Pro-Palestinian protests” became “pro-Hamas, calling for terrorist attacks on the U.S. and screaming Death to America” in zero seconds in this thread

“In all wars there are some civilian victims. We are not responsible for them,” he said in an interview with Saudi Arabia-based television channel Al Arabiya on Friday. - Khaled Meshaal, director of Hamas’s diaspora operations and a chief spokesman for the group (Full article)

Ok, swell. The Ham-*ss talking head is acknowledging that there are bound to be civilian casualties, and they're not responsible for them. By that logic, the Israeli military should not be held responsible for civilian collateral damage either, right?

Your poll says 57% have a positive view of Hamas and that 70% want the Palestinian Authority to take over. The same group that pays families of terrorist and names their streets after terrorists. If the people didn't want Hamas there, they wouldn't be there.

Do you agree the "pro-Palestinian" protests seem to quickly become that in real life too? When you're chanting "gas the Jews" or "from the river to the sea", it's hard to see those things as simply "pro-Palestinian".

NYC is one of the most Jewish places in the country, if you believe the thousands of protestors here are all yelling “gas the Jews” en masse you are too gullible

No. I bet this is based on people seeing one video of a protest posted by LibsofTikTok or some other conservative nutjob

You intentionally ignored the rest of that. When chanting "gas the jews" I think we can both agree that's no longer just "pro-Palestine". What about when they chant "from the river to the sea"?

Both of the posts you quoted address that directly, which is not “ignoring”. “What about this one thing that a fearmongering site told me happened one time” is a waste of time

Because nobody is looking for 1980 Miami. Hardly changes the fact that innocents who would like to live are getting killed.

If we've learned anything over the last 30 years, it should be that regime change has to come from within. If the majority of the people were innocent people who opposed Hamas, Hamas would not be in charge.
