oh stop it. he is not Jarred Geronimo. He and Tonto Cormbread leff town while back.
JG and Milton’s stat’s are actually very similar:

JG through 4 sec games in 2020 (2-2 record):
70/111 63.1% 752yds 4td 3int -30 rush yards 3 rushing TD’s

Milton through 4 sec games this year (2-2 record as well):
80/129 62.01% 897yds 6tds 4ints, 103 rush yards 0 rush TD’s

Keep in mind, while JG has -30 rush yards, this accounts for the -40 yards he had vs UGA, and Milton has had more designed QB runs

I suspect they may want a TSIO rematch in Atlanta as that may be perceived as an easier match up for Bama, and give the conference a shot at two teams as UGA could still go as a 11-1 non division winner.

Depending on what happens in the Big Ten and Pac12, they'll try to thread the needle in Atlanta. The best case scenario would be 12-1 Alabama barely beats 12-1 Georgia (with quality wins over Missouri and Tennessee), and the league whips some committee members into 2-seed Bama and 4-seed Georgia making it in.

I don't view those numbers as similar, given the small sample size

I am ready to see Joe bulldoze some Kentucky players, though.

Hope Wright is ready to have a night as well.

I think both lines having to go against A&M and Bama back to back will help them handle UK.
Yeah me too

Hey and our d-line is still way too good for Leary and Uk to handle

James Pearce Jr still lives and maybe if Tyler Baron isn't held for once he can have fun too.

We were undefeated when we played Bama last year. They needed the best team to win to give best chance to get 2 teams in so they called the game fairly. We won, and they would have been right if we hadn’t crapped the bed against SC. We would have gotten in with Georgia.

This is how it works. The league protects its playoff contenders. At that point both teams were contenders so you get a fair game. If only one team is protected then the other team has to go above and beyond to win because the protected team will get favorable calls. It stinks but it’s not really a conspiracy. Right now UGA and Alabama are protected because they are the most likely to secure a playoff position and bring more money to the league. The 12 team playoff cannot get here fast enough.

Ultimately we have to put ourselves in a position to win these games even while expecting ref interference.

The official at the game Saturday that was said to be a real estate agent in Tuscaloosa was a farce right? Callers are losing their minds on the Basilio show over something I thought was a joke. Anyone confirm?
I don’t think it’s true. Then again, this is the conference that let an open LSU fan officiate their basketball games.

it looks like there is a guy in Tuscaloosa with the same name that is a real estate agent. But obviously different guy

Do you really the ny6 bowl games are a big deal compared to cfp. Which get more viewers and puts more money into sec coffers. They cared last year, if bama makes the field goal then at worse it is overtime. Didn’t count on missing the fg and miracle finish. Nothing could stop the 2019 LSU offense and little they could do.
They could have let the pass interference slide which is what helped us win the game…. we are pretty much out of the playoffs…. the point was why try to make us lose to kentucky.

Interesting thought:

Heupel's game plan and gameday play calling is way more important in the remaining games than Joe Milton's performance.

That sounds kinda obvious but I didn't realize how important Heupel's decision making would be until that 4th down situation in the 3rd quarter. I've said all along Joe was the key to our success and, in many ways, that's still true. But Joe is Joe. Everybody knows what you're getting from him. Going forward, Heupel's preparation and game day coaching will either position this team to win ----- or ----- we go for it on 4th down in the 3 quarter in the other team's territory. Hooker was so good, coaching mistakes were covered up or swept under the rug. The margin for coaching errors is razor thin now. He get a coaching lesson from Saban on how to win with an inferior QB.

We have a pretty good defense and damn good running game. We can win our remaining games but Heupel has to be on point.

Both samples are from the first 4 sec games of the year, they’re the exact same size sample
that's what I'm saying, for 4 games each, those numbers are not that identical to me

Furthermore, JG had these games, with very limited attendance for Covid
at SC
Mizzou
at UGA
UK

Joe has had
at Florida
SC
A&M
at Bama

let's do this exercise again next month

Tennessee and Bama both had one loss last Saturday at 3:30 PM EDT. If Tennessee would have beaten Bama and GA, TN would be in the SEC Championship game. Why did they force a Bama win on Saturday?

Help me Out here:
I think it was the play before we scored our last touchdown:

As we lined up good ole Gary D says , the Vols have a miss match here, and circles Squirrel. I don’t remember who was on him but 1 on 1 .

Joes going down the line and,
Calling the play
Or checking to a different play?

What do you think?

If Gary see’s that from the booth, I’d think a Good veteran QB would and audible and hit him with a quick pass for 7!

With All our struggles in the red zone I wonder how much is because of Joes lack of recognition?

Milton has more help and a better supporting cast around him, JG had horrible coaching and no help around him besides Palmer, plus it being a covid year. The stats are still pretty similar, similar enough, especially considering the circumstances around each player, to compare the two

Joe has no football IQ, he can throw it to the open WR and run it when he has a lane, but he can’t make plays happen like Hooker did. He can’t make the proper checks at the LOS or throw guys open or move the pocket.

12-1 Bama and 12-1 UGA both make the playoffs.
10-2 Bama and UGA that doesn't make Atlanta this season doesn't make the playoffs.

I don't see 2 teams in ..one Michigan or OSU will go undefeated...that's one...secondly FSU has a clear path their schedule is easy except for Miami.......Oklahoma will go from ,Big 12....with Texas QB 1 injured don't see the Sooners losing..but if they do lose still have Washington in Pac 12 hopefully winning out..to stop this 2 team from SEC conspiracy....

As far as I can tell, our fanbase simply googled the name “Ken Williamson” which is as bland and vanilla of a name as possible and there are probably a few thousand Ken Williamson’s out there and they just assumed the one in Tuscaloosa must be the same guy because it fit the narrative.

I haven’t actually seen anything that confirms it’s the same person.

JG had an NFL RB, 3 NFL WR, 2 NFL OL, 1 NFL DL, and 3 NFL DB on that team. The coaching was god awful, but they didn't make him throw 2 pick-6's against Kentucky either.

JG had the easier 4-game schedule in non-hostile environments
He had 722 total yards, 7 total TD, and 6 total turnovers

Milton has 1,000 total yards, 6 total TD, and 5 total turnovers

with only 4 games to account for these numbers, Joe is having the better season. I expect the trend to continue and Joe to have a much better season than JG.

We already have a bad SEC loss and Alabama has a loss to a good team.

I posted it Saturday- wrong guy. The head official in our game lives in Tampa. UF connections, I think.

Our defense is still not as good as a typical Saban defense, so it's not apples to apples. Heupel still has to be aggressive in some circumstances to attempt to put points on the board.
