The Atlanta Braves

What would you do if you were Alex Anthopoulos this off season?

My potential 2023 off season list:

1. Bring Pillar back and move on from Rosario.
2. Shop Marcell for a solid pitching option to go with Fried and Strider.
3. See if Grissom is a left field option.
4. Work on a possible Fried extension.
5. See if Joc Pederson is available.
6. See if Morton will return at a lower salary on a one year deal.

Any thoughts from the board?

1. Find a LF from the left hand side
2. Keep Marcel
3. Trade Vaughn for controllable pitching
4. Sign a #3 starter
5. Joc would be fine on a platoon
6. I’m fine bringing Chuck back

They need three starters this offseason

- Can’t trust Soroka’s health
- Ian won’t be ready till July or August
- Elder is due for major regression (which he already hit)
- Waldrep needs to build up confidence and command in Gwinnett
- Vines, Winans, Dodd, Shuster all just depth.
- Fried on a one year deal and had a forearm strain that cost him three months

We actually pitched pretty well against the Phillies but we need another dude

It’s crazy how our guys “don’t show up” in the postseason when pitchers tailor their approach to hitters weaknesses as opposed to the regular season when they go out and try to execute the same general game plan focused on their strengths.

Crazy.. except our guys spend 162 games demonstrating how low IQ their at bats are.

I’m not sure they’re ready for this conversation buddy.

Gonna be a lot of dudes in here doing this before bed!

Ozzie and Ozuna prime examples of this

Philles go on a historic home run barrage and y’all are victory lapping it. Sad!

Some strategy there to hit the ball into the seats a lot.

Guess I’m just lucky my bank account predicted this “historic run”

This is why debates with you are pointless

The Phillies are who you think the Braves are. But hey, we’ll always be May 10th, 2023 champs.

lol, congrats? If you truly think they are better, and our guys did anything other than fall flat out their faces, then agree to disagree and have a good day bro. Coming into the series, they only edge they had was bullpen. You predicted we couldn’t hit Ranger Suarez twice? Lol

It's almost like we should spend the season working on our approach and not just taking stupid AB's because we can.
