If I remember right, they had 6-7 in box first quarter. Then they figured out their front 5 could beat our front 5 and it was over from there.

Definitely am probably wrong tho, the bourbon was flowing fast to ease the agony

i really don’t think the players care…. Besides that…. it has been my experience coaching from youth leagues through High School that no player feels like he is talking about them. They can name a teammate that needs replaced though.

It's a little of both...it worked last year...not so much early on this year....I've been right too much so far...so I hope Orange Crush makes me look like the fool he thinks I am.

He absolutely qualifies, but I prefer seeing #14 in circulation. Roland James' number too. I hope we have another All-American DB in #14 before too long 😀

Berry's attendance will bring us a W this week.

That is what Orange Crush doesn't understand about me..I am trying to deflate the overly stupid expectations by some of the "optimists" that become toxic corrosive sewage when a team beats us that they "should" be a sure win...because they don't pay attention.

We have a good shot of winning this game if Milton, the OL and the recievers play well...and the defense doesn't crap their pants like they strangely randomly do sometimes...but...we also have a good shot at losing this game if those things don't happen.

It wouldn't say anything about Heupel except even he isn't enough to overcome certain roster defiencies. He has put dangerous top 10 offenses on the field everywhere...he didn't become stupid overnight.

This. I think we're a better team than A&M, and I think we'll beat them. But as soon as everybody starts saying things like "A&M sucks, we should beat them by 20" (which isn't true), all it does it prep the narrative that we're losing to teams we shouldn't, when in reality it's nothing more complicated than college football being an "any given Saturday" sport.

Use it as a recruiting tool. Tell the top DB in next year's class he can be the last player to wear 14 at Tennessee lol

I agree with you. There's overly negative and overly optimistic. Both annoy me.

If you're overly optimistic then you fall from a greater height when your unrealistic expectations fall flat. It's not BVS either. We are a really good team but we also have inconsistencies and flaws. Lots of teams are in that same boat (USC comes to mind)

We are a better team than A&M but that doesn't mean they can't beat us. I don't think they can blow us out, but they can win.

I also still think we win. And we CAN win pretty big.

I understand.

I, OTOH, am a major optimist but I do not panic and I don't melt down and rage mid- or post-game. It's possible!

In fact, I question the "optimism" of the bluster-followed-by-irate-meltdown types. 😂 I hate that 🐃💩, too, right along with you.

It's a tough effin league. GBO! 🍊 WGWTFA!

All this got started I think because I was pointing out this is a really tough game based on the matchup of our OL against their DL to people who were saying this game is a walkover because "A&M sucks"...I don't think I ever predicted a sure loss, I've said it was at best a toss up with a having a good chance because of home field.

I've also said..IF..Joe Milton and his recievers could actually play up to their talent level we could blow A&M off of the field...I think we see this game the same way.

A&M will force Joe and Co to win this game imo....that is what I would do....my doubts in that happening are reasonable imo after what we have seen from Joe and Co so far and are not based on "fear".

I may be the only one, but I say Joe is going to go off!

I continue to worry about his knee, though. It holds us back. Concerned for Coop, too.
