War in Ukraine

So which was it? Kiev or Crimea? 2 totally different demographics. You understand that, right?
they didn't make it to Kiev. and they were going through plenty of other regions that are far more "Russian" than Kiev in the South and East and experiencing the same issues.

Even going back before 2022, when civilians were given a CHOICE they choose to go to Ukraine instead of Russia by a ration of 4 to 1. it got so bad the "rebels" had to cancel the trips to Ukraine to maintain a façade of having the support of the people. and that was from the Donetsk region, which is very similar to Crimea. The Crimeans weren't given a similar option to leave.

Crimea voted overwhelmingly to leave.

Surprised one of his inner circle has not done him in yet.

Putin has never been more popular and if he was taken out, what would replace him would likely be much worse for the Western Death Cult.

Zelensky the dictator. Oh BuT uKrAiNe Is A fIgHt FoR dEmOcRaCy. Good old Zelensky is sounding more like Putin and the Fat Azz Loon in NK. But hey it’s so important that we support the war effort in Ukraine. The Biden administration should be prosecuted for treason for this.

I am actively arguing against giving Ukraine money, but I have yet to see how Zelensky is a dictator? and even if he was we have given plenty of money to other dictators.

Crimea voted overwhelmingly to leave.
at gun point, and the only choices on the ballot were to leave. It was either "Join Russia" or "Leave Ukraine". no way to call that a fair election, when you ignore the primary counter-choice, and the two choices you present are the same thing.

lol. like I said. they will own up to the small stuff. what about all those false claims for payments, why is no dollar amount listed for those? Only one is noted as being innocent.

you provided a list of 14 of the 189, and think it proves something.

Like I've said numerous times, feel free to post evidence that supports your position that the OIG is lying in their reporting and/or investigations.

Weird, your definition of dictator says nothing about elections yet you link election results.

Weird that Zelensky is following their constitution, which states that elections can't be held during a time of martial law.

Stuff like the M1A1s and I think most of the various IFVs, APCs, etc. that we're giving Ukraine have been mothballed. Sitting around rusting because they've been replaced by newer models - much like your old clothes hanging in the back of your closet. The 155mm cluster munition artillery we're giving similarly sitting gathering dust - all 3+ million rounds of it, as we "don't use" these anymore. Etc.

Yes, transporting them costs $. How much extra who knows, but some of it may already be part of existing Defense Dept. budgets.

Curious... did you support the arms build-up here in the US and all the $ we spent to defeat the USSR during the Cold War?
Russia is digging out T-54s. a real war, like one against Russia, would require us to dig into those reserves. if you are worried about Russia, and/or China, as a real threat, you should be worried about our strategic reserves, and our ability to replace and service our own tanks.

and as I pointed out, it won't technically be lying. they just won't present any information that makes them look bad, until several years later. just like what happened with Afghanistan. that was unproven bs that we lost billions of dollars over there, until it wasn't, years later. replacing one government overwatch with another government overwatch doesn't change anything. the same leaders are in power that allowed it to happen before.

If you don't accept the OIG reports , but refuse to provide evidence to the contrary that supports your personal narrative, then there's not much I can do for you.

Then why did he vote against oversight when the bill was being debated?

It's alsopretty embarrassing that a sitting member of Congress is tweeting out made up numbers as to how much monetary aid has actually been sent to Ukraine.

I actually like Paul and have posted I felt oversight should have been mandated just as we did in Afghanistan. That is Congress’s responsibility. Thus I was pretty shocked when I saw he voted against it. It’s all just party partisan posturing clearly.

Rand has stated multiple times he doesn't think it should be its own division, that existing auditing/oversite should be the ones to do it. He wasn't voting against oversite itself, just how the oversite was proposed to work.

Weird, the same claims are made by the other side in relation to the vote you referenced in Donetsk.

Hitler changed German law to stay in power. he only followed German law to get elected the first time, after that he was making it up as he went. exactly what Putin did.

Putin orders constitution changes allowing him to rule until 2036

From the US Holocaust Memorial Museum..."However, Hitler transformed Germany by manipulating the democratic political system. Hitler and other Nazi leaders used existing laws to destroy German democracy and create a dictatorship."

Again, this isn't a comparison to Zelensky, but BeardedVol's dumb response to someone using the term dictator.

Not saying Zelensky is Hitler, but Hitler followed German law as well to destroy German democracy and create a dictatorship.

So you are claiming that Zelensky changed the Ukrainian constitution to stay in power during a time of martial law?

You sure you want to go with this?

Just a reminder, Zelensky was elected in 2019.
