War in Ukraine

Imagine the concern trolling by a certain member here if US troops and a US base got attached like this in Central America.

But since it's Russia, we hear nothing.

I've seen this movie before.

Then why do so many people not know or choose not to recognize the first point. Whether you or anyone else sees the military procurement process as efficient, it does actually put dollars in the pockets of US workers and then into the economy as a whole, and that's more effective than putting dollars in the pockets of people doing nothing. Sure there's waste, there's waste in all government programs, but at least the money spent goes toward people actually working and producing. If government handouts worked, the "War on Poverty" would have been won long ago. Better to actually look and see why people aren't working or are homeless than to provide funds with the idea it will fix the problem; history says throwing money at it won't fix a damn thing.

You mean when Russia liberated a region that had been trying to hold a vote of independence? Yeah, real evil and weird how the people of Crimea not only didnt revolt against their "occupation" but embraced it.

You realize you look like a clown claiming Russia illegally annexed Crimea.

And 81M allegedly voted for the clown show in the WH, too. Who do you think was counting the "independence" votes?

I havent seen anything that leads me to believe that wasnt an accurate result. Now, if you were to tell me Kiev voted to join Russia, then yeah, I would question that.

I don't suppose you ever thought it was interesting that everybody in the Soviet Union kept voting for communists even when it was obvious communism wasn't working?

Are we planting seeds for a showdown with India of all countries?

This entire India/Sikh assassination nonsense is just that... nonsense. This is The West/NATO now trying to apply pressure to another BRICS country...

Open source info backing Trudeau's claims... not actual top secret intelligence or real evidence.

"nicht schiessen"??? Is that Ukrainian?

"When we thwarted their attempted assault and neutralized (destroyed with anti-tank guided missiles - Editor's note) the Leopard, we approached the disabled vehicle hoping to extract information. To our surprise, we discovered that the tank's mechanic-driver was severely injured, while the rest of the crew had perished. Upon waking, the mechanic-driver saw us and started shouting 'nicht schießen' (don't shoot - Editor's note)," recounted the group commander.

"Legend" emphasized his proficiency in the German language, stating, "(The mechanic-driver of the downed tank - Ed.) reiterated several times that he wasn't a mercenary but a Bundeswehr serviceman, and the entire crew belonged to the same company.

"He continued, "I was somewhat taken aback, of course, but then I realized that it doesn't matter whether it's a Ukrainian militant crew or German servicemen; the outcome remains the same: German tanks will burn, and even American tanks will burn, regardless of who's controlling them."

Well.., if “Legend” said it it must be true 🤡

I dont know how something that happened decades ago, applies to this. If the majority of citizens in Crimea thought the election was a fraud, there would be ample evidence to choose from and you wouldnt have to bring up old Soviet elections from decades ago.

Yep, Patriot is working well. Can you imagine the response if the "evil MIC" was turning out a different air defense system every 3-5 years and making the earlier ones obsolete? Or how inept they would be if 40 year old technology wasn't still getting the job done? Seems like some people will always find fault with what you do, but they will never blame the enemy that makes being prepared or staying ahead of the game necessary.

So let me get this straight. The Patriots can knockout Russian hypersonics like their nothing, but these slower graviity bombs are "particularly vexing"??? Make it make sense...

Oleksiy Melnyk, from the Kyiv-based think tank Razumkov Center, said that combatting air-dropped bombs was "particularly vexing" for Ukraine.

Hi-tech air defense missiles are designed to strike more lightweight targets and are ill-equipped to counter the bombs' old, heavy iron construction. The bombs' dense build and Russia's ample stocks are a significant problem for Ukraine, he said. The powerful bombs can weigh from 1,100 to 2,200 pounds.

The SCUDs in 1991 travel at hypersonic speeds and Patriot owned them. The normal usage of the term hypersonic missile includes some ability to maneuver to the defend. This is the case for the Chinese hypersonic glide vehicle. The fact is the Kinzhal is just a faster SCUD and has no maneuver capability. And as such yes it’s fairly early to defend against. Blame your bald dwarf buddy for overstating his crap weapon’s ability Moe.

And to your usual misstating of your own link the issue isn’t the intercept of the gravity bomb that is trivial. The issue is penetrating the dense thick iron or steel casing which isn’t present on a hypersonic missile.

Also. They’re* 🤡

I love how you cite this article approvingly, when it notes (1) that Russia is being forced to used old, dumb Soviet era bombs, (2) the reason they're hard to intercept is because they're in the air for such a short time, which is because ... (3) Russians have to risk their planes being shot down in order to use them by flying almost directly over the target, and (4) they're not accurate, but the Russians don't give a sh*t because they don't care about collateral damage.

But your lads are gonna win this thing, right?

I detect a problem for Russia here.

The 7:1 Russia k/d aside, the fact Ukraine hasnt found their way to the first of Russia's 3 defensive zones aside...Russia is already rebuilding and holding elections in some liberated areas.

They have won. The only uncertainty at this point is how much more land they will liberate.

Won't be much because Russia cannot achieve air dominance. Neither can Ukraine. Very difficult to take large portions of territory in a World War I style of war. That goes for both sides. This thing will drag on and on and on risking further escalation by neighboring countries eventually becoming entangled the longer it goes.
