Then why do so many people not know or choose not to recognize the first point. Whether you or anyone else sees the military procurement process as efficient, it does actually put dollars in the pockets of US workers and then into the economy as a whole, and that's more effective than putting dollars in the pockets of people doing nothing. Sure there's waste, there's waste in all government programs, but at least the money spent goes toward people actually working and producing. If government handouts worked, the "War on Poverty" would have been won long ago. Better to actually look and see why people aren't working or are homeless than to provide funds with the idea it will fix the problem; history says throwing money at it won't fix a damn thing.

The SCUDs in 1991 travel at hypersonic speeds and Patriot owned them. The normal usage of the term hypersonic missile includes some ability to maneuver to the defend. This is the case for the Chinese hypersonic glide vehicle. The fact is the Kinzhal is just a faster SCUD and has no maneuver capability. And as such yes it’s fairly early to defend against. Blame your bald dwarf buddy for overstating his crap weapon’s ability Moe.

And to your usual misstating of your own link the issue isn’t the intercept of the gravity bomb that is trivial. The issue is penetrating the dense thick iron or steel casing which isn’t present on a hypersonic missile.

I love how you cite this article approvingly, when it notes (1) that Russia is being forced to used old, dumb Soviet era bombs, (2) the reason they're hard to intercept is because they're in the air for such a short time, which is because ... (3) Russians have to risk their planes being shot down in order to use them by flying almost directly over the target, and (4) they're not accurate, but the Russians don't give a sh*t because they don't care about collateral damage.

The 7:1 Russia k/d aside, the fact Ukraine hasnt found their way to the first of Russia's 3 defensive zones aside...Russia is already rebuilding and holding elections in some liberated areas.

They have won. The only uncertainty at this point is how much more land they will liberate.

Won't be much because Russia cannot achieve air dominance. Neither can Ukraine. Very difficult to take large portions of territory in a World War I style of war. That goes for both sides. This thing will drag on and on and on risking further escalation by neighboring countries eventually becoming entangled the longer it goes.
