I will add that a chunk of the homes being sold are sold to investment companies that turn them into rentals or Air BNB's. Another big blow to home ownership.

We've been looking to buy in a couple of very different areas. You have to put an offer in almost sight unseen to even have a chance- a lot of the big investment groups are doing that and are still offering way over asking price. It's kind of horrifying.

I am sure the gov would look to intervene with higher first time buyer discounts or lowering of down payments and such..will make 2009 child’s play. It's serving us better to try to find some land in Southwest Virginia to build our own dang house on than try to buy anything. well I just hope that it is over hyped. I would think at some point it would be impossible as there are a set number of registrations, but that would take some 67% to 33 ratio, which Trump ain’t getting.
