considering this past class, and who we have offered so far this year, our defensive staff seems to imploy a philosophy of "you can never have enough DBs."

“They were the first school to offer,” he said. “They really want me to come up there and compete. But I still have a high interest in UGA and Tech because I want to stay close to home. ”

I really hope we secure this kid before he gets an UGA offer. I think though he would have a better chance to play at UT though.

He'll visit Ole Miss Saturday and take trips to Tennessee and Auburn next week.

Says he will play in the SEC and distance is not an issue.

New article up on Rivals. He just made his trip to Ole Miss and will be watching practice in Knoxville one day this week...

I want Rivals to go ahead and evaluate the rest of the recruits even though ratings this early are irrelevant excluding the obvious top-tier players.

Auburn was Mincy's leader following his visit Tuesday and he said the same Saturday, adding an SEC rival to the list.

"They're at the top," Mincy said of Auburn. "Them and Tennessee right now."

Mincy currently lists offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Maryland, Georgia Tech and Akron.

He feels Auburn could be close to an offer.

"It's coming soon, hopefully," Mincy said. "It's like everybody has their hands up on it."

Mincy would like to make a decision next month.

"A little bit before our spring game or after our spring game on May 9," he said.

Mincy plans to visit Tennessee's spring game this Saturday and return to Auburn for a camp this summer.

"Tennessee gave me my first offer, hands-down," Mincy said. "They were the first school to really get back to me and give me a lot of feedback about (my highlight tape).

"I really want to get up there and see the atmosphere."

We really need to make a huge impression at the O&W game...

"Mincy credits new Vols assistant Lance Thompson for his interest in Tennessee. Their relationship is blossoming like an azalea in spring and Mincy says his ability to believe and trust in Thompson has been key."

Quite possibly the lamest line in all of recruiting newsdom. Guy needs to stick to quoting players. Shakespeare, he is not.

Free one on Scout and TAFKA needs to finally learn when to keep his mouth shut.

Scout.com: Mincy loves trip to Tennessee

“Coach Thompson and I go way back,” Mincy said. “We have developed a great relationship, my parents and I trust him a lot. He is one of the main reasons we took this trip to Knoxville yesterday, I’m so glad we did.”

TAFKA and I hung out this weekend and made a video. It would be in everyone's best interest to leave my running mate alone.

You don't want any part of this----
