That Carter was polling well right up until the week of the election. I was a kid then as well. However, there was a common poll back then of second graders (I don’t know if they still do this or not) that was used to predict presidential elections. The thought process was that they would vote along the lines of what they heard at home from their parents. What I read was that the Reagan/Carter poll of 2nd graders showed a huge landslide upcoming in the election. That proved to be true.

I think my dad once shared with me that Carter was polling great right up until the week of the election. I may have this confused with another election, so any of you cowboys that remember, feel free to correct.

I don't think that was the case but I take 'polling great' to mean leading. I think the election was not as close as predicted. Reagan got a lot of votes that were expected to go to Carter or Anderson if I remember correctly. It's been a while.

I just stick to the Joe Biden is an idiot and despicable human being. His fundamental value or guiding principle is he appears to not be guided by a moral compass. The guy was stealing people speeches over 30 years ago. Continually bringing up his dementia lets him off the hook on his other shortcomings.

However that fact that someone would vote for an addled leader is the most damning thing about today's American voters and the public school system that helping to teach the American voter and many illegal voters. He is not running this country. He doesn't even look in charge. Everyone knows it. The fascists can lie until they're blue in the face with the "nothing to see here". He is embarrassing and it's clear its the unelected bureaucrats who are in charge which makes this so dangerous. Basically the faceless are running the country and there is no accountability for corruption. That is what the deep state means. The founders never intended for that to happen.

I think it’s silliness but people wish ill will towards politicians on both sides of the aisle…. I do think actions are much worse…. Voting for someone that you know is incapable of doing the job….. chasing politicians around in restaurants…. Calling for riots…going inside the capital building. All of that sort of thing needs to stop, imo.

Yes. I’m aware Biden is only gonna continue to get worse. And for the record, I do feel for him. He’s a terrible person, and has been for a long time. But, he’s still a human being. It’s sad to see someone’s mental health decline so rapidly and the physical side effects as well. His family, his administration, and those that plan to vote to keep him in office in 2024 should be ashamed of themselves. He shouldn’t live his remaining days as a public spectacle and a political pawn.
