Id much rather invest into the bullpen than the rotation. I trust Max/Chuck/Strider and there are worse options in the world than Elder or Soroka in game 4 (or AJSS)

Couple bullpen arms:

Aaron Bummer- CWS: Lefty, average fastball of 94.5, ERA is gross but the overall numbers look solid even with a higher walk rate. Avoids barrels and due for good luck.

David Bednar- PIT: Very good stuff and command but gonna cost, has multiple years of team controlled years.

Chris Stratton- STL: Righty as well but average fastball, through 2024, solid K rate. Nasty curve.

Hunter Harvey- WSH: Hard fastball, decent split, really good K rate. Through 2026 team control.

If we absolutely have to, we could go AJSS one time through and then McHugh for 2 in Game 4 if Elder/Soroka are terrible or Wright can’t come back.

I just am terrified of Jesse Chavez or Lucas Luetge or Joe Jimenez in the 7th inning of a 1-1 series in a tie game or up 1.
