Germany became an economic power in the aftermath of WW II, because of the depth of their seasoned and skilled workforce (with financial aid from the west).

Does the United States reach the moon without the German scientists? No way. I knew you would take the simple-minded route. My point was, due to its skilled labor, the United States can easily recover from any such inflation. Things are really not as bad as some of you want to believe whenever a democrat is President. This country is good shape.

As noted before, the country can recover. The individual citizens harmed by this inflation may or may not.
Those German rocket scientists weren't here so we could reach the moon. That was a side benefit of their main job.
Biden said very recently that 'we're in fine shape, no worries'. Of course he would say that since he's a politician looking to boost his and his party's chances in the upcoming elections. Just repeating his line doesn't show much in the way of original thought.

It depends on who you are specifically referring to. There is no doubt that the most important and famous German scientist from "Operation : Paperclip" was Dr. Wernher von Braun ... and helping the United States reach the moon before the Soviets was definitely his "main job" while he was here.

Er, von Braun worked on military rockets the first 15 years he was in the US. He dabbled in spaceflight then but his main job was to enable us to nuke the Ruskies.

Rep Tiffany asked if Biden took payments from foreign companies.

Wray said there is an ongoing investigation by the US attorney in Delaware and referred Rep Tiffany to him about the issue of Biden taking money.

Which prompted Rep Tiffany to ask the obvious question about Biden being under investigation.

Wray then walks back what he just said about the US attorney in Delaware doing an investigation. If Biden is not under investigation, why did Wray even bring up the US attorney in Delaware at all when Wray was asked about Biden?

When Wray was asked if Biden took money from foreign companies Wray brought up the investigation being done by US attorney in Delware making it seem Biden was under investigation. The Wray walks it all back by then saying he will not confirm or deny. If Biden is not under investigation then it is true the FBI is crooked and not being fair in its investigations.

That is ridiculous. Wray was asked twice if Biden was under investigation and both times he said that he would neither confirm or deny if that was the case.

His spaceflight work pre-NASA was part time. His primary responsibility then was military rockets. He went full time into space flight when he moved to NASA, after 15 years in the US working mainly on ICBM's.

I think there is a difference in some Rs. All dems want to destroy us and hate the country, some Rs are along for the ride. But there are a few Rs who are principled and genuine to cut spending etc. Very few but at least there are some
