You’re to be admired. I had the grandchildren over too. They (well, the almost 2 year old) wore my azz out. He touches everything at least 50 times and has to be guided away harmful things constantly. Whew. I was ready for a nap while he seemed to have new batteries added ever 5 minutes, but I loved every moment. Something different about grand babies.

I look forward to having grandchildren. Hopefully still several years off but I am going to be a kick ass PaPa!

Agree 6 year old grand daughter in one bedroom asleep and one wild as hell 3 year old grandson asleep in another bedroom time for poppy to relax with a mixed one after long grueling day. The other grandson whose 8 went with his grandma to stay lol.

Makes me wonder how we did it when we were just parents. Must of done something right, lol.

We obviously did got a 4th grandchild due in October my son's first. He is so excited it's a boy going name him after my dad I'm so proud!!!

Totally different feeling from being parents. While you love and raise your children under God’s watchful eyes, but when grandchildren enter in the picture, it’s a whole different kind of love. I just hope when the time comes, they look like beautiful wife .

This is absolutely incredible. I remember seeing this on my 8th grade field trip and making an imprint on me. Our freedom came with a cost of those who I have never met yet I will always be grateful. We are entitled to nothing and have to continue to earn our freedom every day. Thank you for those of you that have served us. My family is truly grateful to live in the land of the free and home of the brave.

I've never had any problems on the river. Some areas of the lakes up here can be tricky, but generally everything is good this time of year. @InVOLuntary can tell you a lot more about that. . . really, she can probably answer all your questions about this.

You looking to rent a pontoon for the day or a houseboat/cabin cruiser/express cruiser?

Pontoons are probably available. I'm not sure out houseboats or cruisers though. I had an old cruiser, several years ago before I got down with the sickness. Just big enough to have plenty of room for 2, maybe 3 people. If you're sleeping in, probably need a houseboat though. I suppose you could set up camp in a pontoon, I probably would. Or camp off the bank somewhere,

Alum cave is pretty good. It's a trail that heads up to Mt Leconte. One of the best hikes in the Smokies, imo.

We got the opportunity to hike Alum Cave during the government "shutdown." It was awesome only two other couples at the overhang at the top.
