Smoked a rib roast for dinner guests tonight. It was a big hit and tasted better than it looked.

Dry brined the night before to make the color and flavor intensify and tenderize the roast.

Fresh blackberries picked yourself and having to fight the bees, bears and everyone else for them.

I can remember times when I wasn't making the best life decisions that a couple handfuls of blackberries would be all i ate for the day. They're even better when you're starving!

You never want to be climbing out of a hole due to mistakes in the 1st inning of an elimination game. You never know how your hitting is going to go and the pressure starts to mount. Terrible start. Also a sign of teams that are not quite made to be champions. I hope I'm wrong. There's definitely plenty of the game left.
