Gun control debate (merged)

Chalk up another W for the second amendment. Founding fathers remain undefeated in their infallible wisdom.

I heard tonight that multiple handguns were found at the scene and that the shooting was apparently a targeted attack.

Would you care to address the above, or do you prefer to continue your ignorant remarks?

It repealed the 18th. What Newsome proposed does not do that...

Or I thought I read that

I could absolutely be wrong but I just can't see how a ratified amendment to the constitution could even be challenged in the courts let alone be found unconstitutional.

Which will supersede the other?

2A - no infringements are legal
28A - these infringements are legal

I don’t know the answer either.

I would have thought their approach would be to repeal the 2A outright and sell the idea of it being entirely a state issue.

It would be like someone passing the 28th Amendment that says the President can hold office for three terms without putting in language to repeal the 22nd Amendment.

You can't have two Amendments that conflict each other without one being repealed by the language in the other.

Of course, our government would never have laws that contradict each other...

Leftist judges, legislators and district attorneys say hi.

That would make sense to me. I missed the 10 round limit. I only saw -

“register bullet-holding magazines”
This is what happens when people who have no idea what they are talking about try to have an argument about guns (see: certain posters in this thread)

Or, then again, maybe the law doesn't apply to magazines that hold poison darts, smokescreen, or stun rays.
