Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I’ve had death wobble in my F-250. Mine was due to tires and a worn damper. Scared the living 💩 out of me.

I'm taking it in to see if it's as small an issue as a caster or a warped rod. Seller's willing to pay for anything up to 600 bucks, otherwise I can just return it for what I paid.

I hope it's the former. It's an 06 with 120k and a new tranny. I like how she looks.

Nice ride. If they put a lift under it they likely screwed up caster angle. That’s what happens with most good ole boy lifts.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to confirm or deny anything. I'll be in Knoxville soon, is your place something a 40ish couple would fit in? Would love to throw you some business if so.

It's a space for everyone.

You just have to appreciate bad singing... really bad singing. Shoot me an email at dinkinflicka89@yahoo.co.uk and we can link up if I'm in town. I even have myself scheduled for a shift or two in the next couple months.

Xfinity is the worst company on the planet for customer service! Tomorow will be day 4 with no service TV or internet and if they would have listened to me from the beginning this could have all been resolved. I told them from the jump that the problem was at the pole, that their contractor broke something/didn't hook us back up or something when stringing new wire in the neighborhood. But No I had to wait 3 days for an inside tech to show up look up at the pole and say yeah that's broke. Now I have to wait another day for someone that maybe can fix it. When I asked the same contractor is right down the street why don't you tell them to get their ass over here and fix it they tell me they can't do that. I went down there and none of them spoke English, they are all some kind of eastern European.

A few more months and I can tell them to piss off. <rant over>

I know how you feel about that last part, next month I get new internet service at the other house from the local phone company - they are a rural cooperative that expanded into internet and cable. The bill for newly installed fiber 1G up and down will be a bit under $60/mo vs the $80 I'm paying Spectrum for just their basic internet - I do have to pay to join the coop. I have no real beef with Spectrum except the price and being ticked off because I fell for the introductory rate with the yearly escalating fee hidden in the fine print. I forgot that the cable/internet companies still do that, because EPB here in Chattanooga doesn't do the intro rate gotcha, and we've had EPB fiber for years. The drop from the pole to the house is installed just need the inside stuff done when service to the area gets turned on. Going to feel good telling Spectrum "bye".
