It looks like anyone that wants to watch the TN Baseball game tonight will have to figure it out through the crappy ESPN+ app unless someone knows better than what I've been able to find out.

Anyone else beginning to hate ESPN. First it looks like they are doing favors by broadcasting what you want, then they are monopolizing things, guess what comes next. You win if you guessed your money even though they make a ton from the commercials that threaten to be longer than the game. Streaming was always going to replace and cost more than cable once they got everybody to cut ties. Instead of one fee for cable; it's a fee for internet access and then fees for the streaming networks.

How else are people like Stephen A Smith going to collect $8M/year? Such a joke. I see they still have Skip Bayless and that awful show, the PTI show and no telling how much they are all paid. Just awful programming.

Well, the Lady Vols are in the semi finals. Gotta beat FSU twice for the rematch with OU.

I think they can do it. Hopefully the coach doesn't pull a dumb and start switching pitchers like crazy again. I thought the freshman that started against OU the other day was doing a dynamite job. Pulling her after OU scored that home run was dumb. Let her snap and clear and pull her if she continues to stumble. But let's face it, it is Oklahoma and they are going to score. But they did seem to be having trouble with the heat she was bringing.

That youngin has an arm and a half.

Did you and SSC make it to any of the games?

@Orangeburst (I think - been a while), I stopped at the gas station you told me about sometime ago. They do have premium without ethanol, but it's expensive. Anyway I filled up today - $4.50/gal, and I'll see if it turns out to be worth it. MPG on the last tank of gas was atrocious - 24.0 according to the car's computer (and more road than city) - the average hit 28.0 on the way home (about 3 miles) before I had to sit through the light at Morris Hill and E Brainerd twice. Have to get on the road to see what mileage really looks like.

Yep...thank you to my VOL brethren for placing the thought in my head about gas quality a month or 2 ago...my lil red coupe had been intermittently getting a check engine light for a couple days at a time with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I started using 89 instead of 87, and it was a little better but still regularly had the light on. Finally, after methodically testing a bunch of different factors i decided to isolate what brand the gas was...not what station name such as 7-11 etc...but who refined and sold the gas. After testing several with no change, i started using SHELL gasoline only and the issue completely went away. 87 octane Shell gas runs great, with no lights ever...while even 89 octane from the others usually gave me trouble.

moral of the story: Shell gasoline has either less ethanol/water in their gas...or is just of much higher quality. I will never willingly buy any other brand of gas again unless something changes dramatically. Thanks.

Gas prices here have been climbing steadily for months, even while prices for a barrel of oil have been in the 60's.

Yeah this is straight bullsheit, too...they price gouge us when barrels pricing goes up, price gouge us when it goes down...and now are gouging the sheit out of Americans simply because we have no choice but to buy gas for our vehicles. It is criminal. I am a free market conservative....but for things like electricity, running water, and gasoline that people MUST have in order to survive, there should be limits imposed across the board on how much these multibillion dollar companies can rape us at every turn. Power is already regulated, city water is also IIRC....yet these oil companies can rape us at will. The VAST majority of which are not even American owned. It sucks.

@Septic

Headed next week to Nassau to board the cat. Any last minute tips?

We're following your recommendation to pack our meats in a cooler, buying most other provisions in Nassau.

Any tips on fishing? Trolling off shore near the drop-offs?

Appreciate any pointers you may have.

You back? How was it?

You back? How was it?

just getting started. We left out of Nassau last Thursday. It started as a cluster F. We were supposed to get a 47' power cat and it was experiencing mechanical problems. No other power cats available. I told them I know nothing of sailing. They offered a 52' sail cat with a captain. We didn't want the captain at least the whole trip. We ended up with a 42' bali sail cat. Been mostly motoring. Experimenting with the sails a little bit. We're cure anchored at Norman's Cay. Going to snorkle Pablo Escobar's plane, provision a little and head on to the exuma land and sea park.

No fish to speak of yet. Ive caught a few strawberry grouper when trolling into our anchorages. Saw birds today but couldn't catch up to them with this boat.

Yesterday was eventful. The winds got to 30 knots. Very rolly anchorage. Broke a bridle trying to get anchored. Winds shifted from the west overnight witch helped. Today is beautiful weather with 10 kts wind.

Neither am I. Nor any other social media except twitter and here. Twitter is a great news source since Elon bought it. You can learn about things minus the spin...as well as stuff the networks will never show bc it doesn't fit their narrow agendas.
VN is my only social media. No FB, no IG, no Tik Tok, no Twitter, no whatever Trump's is called.
