Tomorrow at 7pm for early access, right? I'm still deciding whether to pick this one up.
It's what you would expect. Isometric games always feel cumbersome with controllers. Keyboard and mouse only IMO. Is it not keyboard and mouse compatible on console?I've never played Diablo on console before and I dont have a PC rig now that would run this well. Does the gameplay loop translate well on console with a controller?
Im sure it is but I have no desire to sit on my couch and use a mouse and keyboard. I'll probably forego this and wait for Final Fantasy XVI.It's what you would expect. Nope. A point and click isometric game will always feel cumbersome with a controller. There's no way around not having a cursor and clicking. Nothing will replace that. It might feel good to play, great even, but then you play on PC and then you understand. I doubt any PC player ever downgrades to console, not a serious one anyway. I just looked at twitch. It's all PC for Diablo. It is actually very good on controller. So good that many PC players have switched. Much better than it was implemented in DIII

Haha. I remember back in the day there was a debate about controllers vs m&kb on, I think it was the first modern warfare. After a xbox tournament they put the championship Xbox team vs PC players from the crowd. The championship team got obliterated by average joes with m&kb. It was kinda hilarious. You're absolutely right, but I'll take the hit. I'm a stubborn one, though. I stuck with the "legacy" analog stick configuration for FPS games until it went away.

I'm just telling you that Diablo IV is much, much better on gamepad. Usually its not that way for iso arpgs. I do play on PC FTR and normally a M&K for just about everything. Some will never change from M&K, but the gamepad is so solid this time around for Diablo.Nope. A point and click isometric game will always feel cumbersome with a controller. I switched to using an XBOX controller today (I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to pay full price). At my age I just can't see the cursor well enough, especially in the middle of a huge fight. Using the controller helps.I'm just telling you that Diablo IV is much, much better on gamepad. Usually its not that way for iso arpgs.
