It’s really crazy as hell. We’ve gone from our liberal hippies in the 60’s raging against the man and giving the government the finger across the board to being their water carrying lapdogs and telling everyone that whatever the problem is, more government is the answer. Absolutely crazy.

Yes, you start making it a little harder to purchase guns, you get rid of the most dangerous weapons, you take a hard line on anybody
who might pose a risk to public safety should he buy a gun, you devote more resources to mental health.....A starting point....

The idea of the State stopping citizens on the sidewalk, and having them prove they are in compliance with the law?

That’s about as un-American as it gets.

I don’t think I’ve ever thrown that term out at someone. I feel a little gross.

I think we're a little beyond that. Someone was on here a few days ago claiming the government can trace any gun used in a crime back to the original purchaser. That seems almost like a national registry, don't you think?
