I think it will be a nice tool. Will be interesting how they integrate the ole school "eye test" pre-moneyball type stuff. I'd think you could quantify that to some degree and make it another external input into the algo.

This will become like the stock market has. Whoever has the best algorithms will have the edge.

I am absolutely loving how this is going to really mess with a lot of the negative recruiting other schools especially GA has been able to use against us. The old “it’s a fun offense but won’t prepare you for the NFL and get you drafted” just took a beating!!! Go Vols and go Coach!!!! More drafted than the 5* loaded GA team.

The questions are aimed at them, not the players. I've never seen a more contentious post draft press conference in Nashville.

Sure. But even questions towards the GM/HC can come off as "what is wrong with you to pick THAT guy?" Imagine if the media roasted Heupel for who he signed on NSD. Not cool, jmo.

Just seems like a bad look to the players about to play in your very city (guessing mostly local media).

You can be tactful and still get answers without demeaning the guys headed to the team you cover.

Bears fans are ecstatic about Wright.
Lions fans are mostly hyped for Hooker.
Giants fans are ecstatic about Hyatt.
Rams fans are ecstatic about Young.
Browns fans are 50/50 on Tillman.

Hope all these VOLS ball out and we start putting players in the NFL at a high clip again!

Think Hooker in Detroit could be elite, but Goff is pretty good too

I’d guarantee that NFL teams employ data scientists and have ML algos to use as another input into their process, but I agree, the real change becomes when you can have AI give another interpretation of the eye test. Essentially a virtual scout that gives input to the real scouts and helps them analyze players and how they fit into their schemes.

dude, we will be. Have you see talent on o & d we're brining in? Only places Id say we arent bringing BC's in is on OL & perhaps DL
