According to what I see here: target shooting, collecting, shooting moles in the yard, and personal and home security.
Again, you're not claiming that the primary intent and purpose of all guns is to kill people are you? I would assume they are designed to fulfill their primary purpose and function.
There you go.
You said Guns designed to kill people should be banned.Guns don't kill people, people do. How can an inanimate object be designed to kill? Did I get it right?
So no they are not designed to kill. They are designed to be used to kill.
Well that's not what I said, what I actually said was; "If a gun was designed specifically to kill PEOPLE, ban it."You said Guns designed to kill people should be banned.
Let’s try again.
The US Marine Corps issues a standard sidearm (that’s a handgun). What is that handgun designed to do?
I’m sorry for misquoting you. Yes, you said “if”.Well that's not what I said, what I actually said was; "If a gun was designed specifically to kill PEOPLE, ban it."
I would assume guns designed for the military are designed specifically to kill people.
My positions aren't related to assault weapons, I guess you have me confused with someone else, my two main recommendations have been x rounds in y time, and x purchases in y time - neither directly tied to assault weapons. Fail
I would. You can post a few more and it will not change the answer.
I do not have an issue with a person having a gun for protection. The gun should not be an assault weapon (AR 15).
I’m sorry for misquoting you. Yes, you said “if”.
So the standard issue sidearm for the USMC would be a weapon of war, designed to kill, and should be banned for everyday civilian ownership?
He's a gun grabber. They should never be trusted. They want you to think they are taking an inch. They will take a mile if allowedIf that’s really his standard then he’s wanting to ban all handguns. While also lying and saying he has no problem with you owning a gun for protection and that you should be able to own a handgun
This is fun.
Ban all semi auto weapons and revolvers, you know: x shots in y seconds and all. (That's about 80-90% of all firearms sold, you know). Then we are left with the muskets, bolt action rifles, lever action rifles, and pump shotguns that were never designed to kill people, when needed (unless you know anything about military history).
Really best to just end this lame discussion, y'all.
Yes loother thinks people should have no defense against a tyrannical government. The government knows best and they can’t impose their will on an armed population so guns gotta go.I’m sorry for misquoting you. Yes, you said “if”.
So the standard issue sidearm for the USMC would be a weapon of war, designed to kill, and should be banned for everyday civilian ownership?
The absolute stupidity of saying you can’t have an “assault weapon “ to defend yourself against someone who likely is illegally using an “assault weapon “Lol where would anyone have ever gotten the idea that Luther wants to ban assault weapons? I mean, other than Luther’s exact words.
I would think that a reasonable argument could be made for uses other than killing people, so probably not banned.I’m sorry for misquoting you. Yes, you said “if”.

As I just stated. That's from 5 and a half years ago. Assault was synonymous with fully automatic in my mind.Lol where would anyone have ever gotten the idea that Luther wants to ban assault weapons? I mean, other than Luther’s exact words.
Where did you pick up such an idea?As I just stated. That's from 5 and a half years ago. Assault was synonymous with fully automatic in my mind.
And I do still believe fully automatic weapons should be banned.
I didn't change my stance, I just improved my gun related vocabulary.
Specifically. If. Inconsequential.I would think that a reasonable argument could be made for uses other than killing people, so probably not banned.
My quote that you went back and found is from five and a half years ago. I don't remember the context of the quote. I think I said yesterday that I was operating under the misunderstanding that AR 15s were automatic (fully) weapons. If that was my basis, then I stand by it. Fully automatic should be banned. If I was not operating under that incorrect assumption, then it is an instance where I would have changed my mind over a 5 and a half year period. (I know, that would be a first in a gun thread)
And "if" is not the key word you missed. The key word you left off was "specifically".
I somehow believe you knew that.
I would assume guns designed for the military are designed specifically to kill people.
