Maybe @volgr is talking about parents talking their kids into or out of enlisting. When my son talked to me about it 4 years ago I supported it. Today, I would try to convince him not to. Questionable leadership worries me. Plus, as a dad, I'm not convinced the citizens of this country today are worth him sacrificing his life. This percentage of ungrateful malcontents grow each year like our military is protecting an uncivilized society.

I have and do discourage anyone from enlisting except in the Coast Guard or certain Air Force MOS'.

I think its mostly just to make sure the fighting doesn't spill over into Iran. not that Iran would necessarily take a side in the actual fighting.

In the last Armenia/Azerbaijan conflict Iran backed Armenia, armed them, and provided some passive assistance at times. So according to Ras that means Iran was at war with Azerbaijan. they allowed some troop movements when the Armenian territory was separated.

I think it's a steep climb. Just look at what they are trying to do to Trump if they can get away with it. These are communist tactics. Anyone that doesn't believe it is a fool.

Israel supports Azerbaijan, Iran supports Armenia another proxy war. There is some speculation that when Israel attacks Iran they may use Azerbaijani territory. Plus Iran has an Azerbaijani minority group they don’t want them to start getting any separatist ideas either.

Oh that could get interesting. Who is the aggressor or is it just a long hatred? Who does Russia back or is there a treaty?
